It was mooted a year or two ago that Singer were aiming to produce the ultimate aircooled engine for their cars. 4 valve heads were proposed too if I remember correctly....
Hans Mezger was instrumental in the design of the 4 valve heads for the 956/962 (and most of the Porsche's racing engines from the mid fifties to the 90's......

With a little bit of modification it could be the ultimate Porsche furniture and make a V8 coffee table so passe.

Looks absolutely fantastic and good enough for its own individual poster.

Looks amazing....I just dread to think how much having that slung between the back axles adds to the price though! In the volumes Singer makes cars the R&D spend must have been quite something....I can't imagine Mr Mezger has lent to his name to the project for a not insignificant sum alone!

fking stunning isn't it.

As a part-time CAD monkey, I must say, very nice rendering too.

This......this is amazing! cloud9

It only serves to cement my decision that the first phone call I would make after winning the lotto would be to Singer to order my own bespoke 4 wheeled piece of moving art!

Love the cars and love what they do.

As Slippydiff knows - I have no idea how they work - but boy is that a beautiful thing - you'd need two - one for the car and one just to sit and stare at- it's a work of art smile

Good job I was sat down when I looked at those pictues..... Didn't think it was possible for Singers to get even more desirable! As mentioned above...... would be the first call after the lotto win (should really play first, but alas its pointless)

A sex symbol in a world of androgynous drones.

If the overall design wasn't pretty enough, it was the rear quarterlight air intakes that really did it for me. It took me a while to 'get' that detail, because I was first looking at this on an iPhone screen, but what a detail!

It does look sexier than this:

But it would be a tough choice where my lottery winnings would go. Probably still Ruf, but can I say both??

I know this is development, but it doesn't quite sound (to me) that it's hitting the 9,000 rpm that's been mentioned in a few of the media reports.

Does sound nice though. Hard from the video to 'get' the real sound quality inside, but the noise outside is pretty special.

Hi

I read the article but for clarification is this a completely new engine or is it based on a existing Porsche engine?
