When talking maintenance cost and driving on track....is a 991.1 GT3 that more expensive to maintain then a 981 GT4?
Tyres, rotors, brake pads...should be around the same price.

Any views on price from here cars dropping quickly with the new GT3 .
Further to fall or get in now ?
They will fall, even more, they are basically unreliable, less powerful versions of either the 991 GT3 RS or the new 991.2 and less fun than the 997 and to slow anyways (to justify the PDK) for the new batch of competitors or the close future.
If you want a cheap track car, just get one and make sure you have one with warranty and that you push it as much as possible, so you blow the engine off and you can get the updated engine (more reliable).
If they fell much more they would be 997 GT3 money, I’ve had Porches for 30 years and there’s no way I’d be paying more or even the same for a 997 GT3 versus a 991 GT3

As Mr Harris says it’s a Big step forward from 997, front end and steering sorted , makes a 997 seem ancient!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVdme4ISq8Y&feature=share

I’ll go a slightly different route and say as a comparison a 997 is what it is, an older less advanced car or what you would expect!

Fair point and they’re really very close in price now for the CS...a good 997.2 GT3 CS is best part of £120k.Although I think warranty or not the991.1 will always be tainted by the engine issues. They are certainly very good value to the ludicrous premiums on 991.2at the moment.

The 10yr warranty will dilute that substantially.

Well yes the same price but you would be going through them a lot faster on the gt3.

Depends on what you have done with the GT4. If you don't have the right geo on the GT4, you will be going through one set of front tires per track day if not careful. Rotor and pad wear is higher on the GT3 due to considerably faster speeds involved. The GT3 is considerably faster than the GT4.

Fair point - I forgot about how quickly the gt4 eats front tyres.

Bigger GT3 rear tyres will be more expensive than the GT4s and the GT3 will eat these way quicker than the GT4.

Have any of you guys been quoted via your OPC's for GT3 tyres??...I would always use my OPC for replacement so was wondering.

TIA..

Most OPCs will price match K.

Some will accept tyres delivered from e.g. Oponeo delivered to the OPC for their fitting as long as they are wrapped etc.

Wouldn't let anyone other than the OPC remove centre lock wheels or fit tyres...... lots are clueless re these despite claiming otherwise.
