I just had to do a motorway awareness Zoom course last week. I hadn’t seen any signs, but apparently I was doing 61 in a 50. When I looked at the photographic evidence, the car I was driving was actually on a slip road going onto a smart motorway. Mariosbt said:

I just had to do a motorway awareness Zoom course last week. I hadn’t seen any signs, but apparently I was doing 61 in a 50. When I looked at the photographic evidence, the car I was driving was actually on a slip road going onto a smart motorway. Interesting, two key options for me are indeed cruise and aircon! I appreciate that, if one lives in the Lake District, aircon might be largely redundant. But for me one of the charms of the 911 is the ability to wear many hats. That includes "Continental cruiser", for which a/c is a must. But even beside that, on a damp autumn day in Windermere its really useful to quickly demist windows.
MariosBt, you should really run the a/c from time to time, use it or lose it as they say! If nothing else to avoid a world of pain from it packing up.
On another topic, took out my 997 from winter & lockdown storage and will be taking it for its yearly service next weekend. Had forgotten what a great car it is to drive!

I couldn't have a car without A/C (bar the classic) and find it extremely helpful during all four seasons to defog the windows.
Cruise is nice from time to time, but I could easily live without it.
