Excellent! And timely as you say. May she rest in peace, or perhaps with the sound of race cars in the background at least.

Pour some near boiling water over each one or use a hair dryer and it will roll right off.

Paint wasnt bad, but a few hours of detailing have been worth the effort.
Not rocket science to get a decent finish

Hi, can any of you 997 squad recommend an after market exhaust for my 997.1 Turbo. Near Cardiff would be good.
Thanks

Order a Europipe 1 or 2 from Stef. Little bit louder than stock and releases up to 20bhp. No cels, no remap required. Can fit yourself Stef send you the tools. I've heard all of them. This is the best. Its just louder though. No exhaust really adds any tone. Look at Kline too but they don't flow as well IMO unless you go cat less.

What for?

Replace one that is getting old or you want one that is louder?

Good point. I have a spare original exhaust if you want. First change to make to a turbo!

I would like recommendations for aftermarket exhaust for 997.1 C2 if anyone’s had one fitted. Original PSE seems ok but I think some valve are not operating as they should. Never notice a change in tone frown Not a problem mot wise. Replacement system a little nosier acceptable. wink

I’ve just taken the Carrera badge off the back off my car, mainly because it was coming unstuck anyway & a bit worn. Is there an easy way to get he residue off or just washing up liquid and elbow grease ? ... maybe T Cut.
Another vote for wd40. You can also purchase specialist goo or tar removers for a bit more cash if you’re worried about WD.

Just be gentle and patient. On micro scratches you will need to polish the area anyway after you remove the glue as there will be shadow from the original badge due to lack of weathering underneath the badge. Any good polish should do.

Heat it with a hair dryer or heat gun and it will just roll right off.

Takes 2 or 3 minutes to get the lot off.

Be careful with that heat gun!!! You could seriously damage your paint with one of these!!

This!

Wouldn’t take a heat gun anywhere near my paintwork, way too aggressive. A hairdryer more than enough and unlikely to ever get hot enough to cause damage.

morbid way but best for protecting paint is to run your thumb along it back and forth. Careful though, blisters do occur...

Paint will be totally fine though
