I’ve just taken the Carrera badge off the back off my car, mainly because it was coming unstuck anyway & a bit worn. Is there an easy way to get he residue off or just washing up liquid and elbow grease ? ... maybe T Cut.
Finally no sign of the badgeUsing these from left to right , Wash & Wax, no water added.

I fitted a pair of the mild sports to my C4 at the weekend, was replacing a Dansk system that was far too loud for my liking.
I bought through 911uk and got 10% off and chose the free delivery. Ordered Thursday around 3pm and was with me by 10am the next day.
Sounds wise it is nice, a little deeper than stock, but no noisier really up to 3000rpm which is what I wanted. I hate drone, then from 3000rpm sounds a smidge louder and deeper.
It was £449 delivered, an absolute steal imho.

Finally found a Gen 2 S that ticked most of the boxes, the black on black wouldn't have been my first choice but it's growing on me.
Had my first long drive over the weekend and really enjoying it way more refined compared to what I've owned before but does feel a lot bigger (guessing I just need to get used to it or set the seat up better)

Is there one ?
I suppose that's not strictly the topic but it's what it became https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Wow, that is not much when you consider the Porsche boxes are what, £1500? I bought through 911uk and got 10% off and chose the free delivery. Ordered Thursday around 3pm and was with me by 10am the next day.

At 15yrs age, I wonder how much life I have left on my factory exhaust. I have the factory setup but "Gundo hacked" with 1.5inch pipe. The sound is perfect for me. I have not done much research, I'd be weary of changing to another brand exhaust for fear of "defacing" the Porsche sound. It is, for me at least, one of the main aspects of enjoyment of the car.
Therefore interesting to note your experience. I assume that being mild steel what one is giving up is longevity? I believe that the factory units are stainless steel (albeit the fittings are just made of cheese...).

The 'Mild' bit refers to the sound, I would say they are closer to the OEM sound than a Gundo hacked oem silencer. At 15yrs age, I wonder how much life I have left on my factory exhaust. They do a 'mild', 'sports' and 'valved' system.
The valved system is only £900 and will give you oem when you want it and proper bark when you feel you want a bit more.
They obviously sell loads as last week they were showing 47 in stock when I ordered mine and now showing out of stock.

Congrats and nice car. Recommend considering getting those wheels restored to the original colours as they would look great on a black car IMHOHad my first long drive over the weekend and really enjoying it way more refined compared to what I've owned before but does feel a lot bigger (guessing I just need to get used to it or set the seat up better)

Thanks. Haha on the "mild", sorry my bad. They do a 'mild', 'sports' and 'valved' system.

Sounds (no pun intended) like this option is worth considering. Will be picking up my car from the yearly service this weekend. I'll ask them if they've fitted any. 47 sales in a week!
I spoke to the guys at Powerflow Exhausts (national company run by indies mainly so tend to know their stuff) before placing my order, and when I mentioned I had considered Topgear they even said "Mate, just buy theirs, we are using them now as they are as good as anything else out there, better than many, and then they are half the price of every one else as well."
They offered to get it in for £415+vat and then £100 to fit it.
I decided it was easier to fit myself than try and get into the city and leave it with them for a morning.
Big mistake. The brackets from cats to silencer were shot and needed grinding off, the nuts were all rusted on the bracket that attaches silencer to subframe, three of the mounting points snapped so I had to weld on new ones, and then one of the main bolts that held the silencer to the bracket snapped. Luckily I had something else I could use, but was a pain.
Also, getting the tips on on my own was ridiculously hard, really does need two people as it is so tight for room and you need to hold the clamp in place while then getting the U Clamp bolts on, and there is not much thread available so really tricky.
I guess you could consider one of the 'mild' silencers on one side and the 'sports' exhaust on the other, which I would guess gets you sort of half the volume of sports?
Might be worth asking Alex from Topgear who posts on 911uk.com?
He might say "Don't be so bloody stupid!" of course.
