The 997 Appreciation Thread
Discussion
Anyone in this thread familiar with the non-DFI engine, specifically how much cross-over there is with the earlier M96?
Context: I'd like to stay within the Porsche parts catalogue, but the (3.4l) intake on my car is a fairly significant restriction - and the 3.8 litre intakes are pretty cheap on eBay. But, if they won't bolt on, or an adapter plate is a tremendous pain in the behind then we'll have to go with plan b.

Good question - and one I'll be answering fairly shortly as the result of staring at Google images for 10 minutes reveals that the M97 intake has a different bolt pattern to the M96 for purposes of mounting to the head.
Arse.
This may mean waiting three months for an X51 manifold, in the hope that it flows better than the stock one. Still - just in time for Christmas I suppose.
