That looks a good price. Does a C4S command a bit more of a premium 2nd hand?

I know they were about £6000 more to buy new.

From my last 4 weeks of looking they do. This is missing the PSE but apart from that very nice. May have IMS issues with being 2005 though.

What's the problem with 2005?

How much of a difference in pound notes are the 4wd cars?

Is the body wider on the 997 4wd? At some angles I believe I can see the rear arch looks different and is there an extra ridge running down the sill.
Wide Bodied 997 (44mm wider) are C4, C4S, Targa 4, Targa 4S, GTS, GT2, GT3RS, and all the Turbo models I believe..

Does anyone know if the X51 option means that the bore score risk is reduced/removed on a 997.1?
Given that the X51 option includes an additional central rad in the nose, I'd guess scoring is a bit less likely as cooling is more efficient than a standard 997.1

Anyone in this thread familiar with the non-DFI engine, specifically how much cross-over there is with the earlier M96?

Context: I'd like to stay within the Porsche parts catalogue, but the (3.4l) intake on my car is a fairly significant restriction - and the 3.8 litre intakes are pretty cheap on eBay. But, if they won't bolt on, or an adapter plate is a tremendous pain in the behind then we'll have to go with plan b.

Good question - and one I'll be answering fairly shortly as the result of staring at Google images for 10 minutes reveals that the M97 intake has a different bolt pattern to the M96 for purposes of mounting to the head.

Arse.

This may mean waiting three months for an X51 manifold, in the hope that it flows better than the stock one. Still - just in time for Christmas I suppose.
