Looks great, did Mr Tipper do that? It looks similar to something on his Twitter feed.
Yep, Richard did it for me, a clean up and ceramic, he’s just ace, a total professional and expert IMHO

Sorry I thought you had the wheels on the car, for some reason rolleyes which variant is it?
Im not in a mad rush to get the wheels. Do you know when you’re fitting them? Get pictures on when you do.
Jeeze.. I’m like a child at Christmas. nuts
Just fitted. C4S. 50th anniversary forged copies scaled down from 20 to 19. Bespoke fitment to the wide body, no spacers. Quick pic.

In mid 2018 I bought a C2S with a sickly engine. I had it rebuilt by Hartech and fell in love with the 997.
Being a motorcyclist I realise that the latest incarnation of a model is not necessarily the best version.
My bikes are not current models either.
However, I am a bloke, I was distracted, I felt patriotic, I turned 60, whatever, I bought a Vantage.
But I have not sold my 997, it’s on consignment with a specialist.
I have decided that it will be a brief fling with the Aston and return to 997’s, either my current car or if sold I’ll buy the latest & nicest 997.2 I can find & keep it forever.

My fling with a Vantage only lasted a year, luckily (or because) I kept my 997.

Where's it for sale please? I'm currently looking for a sick 997 because I'm a worrier and I'd rather buy a cheap one and get the engine sorted than worry about if it will fail (but a rebuilt one is also a consideration).

Great minds. My story is similar in that the DB9 was replaced with a 997.2 C2S and I'm now on my second 997 which is a keeper. smile

Would have been all over it but currently looking for a 997 Cabriolet instead of a coupe

My .1 GT3 featured in a Sam from SeenThroughGlass video, discussing it's 175,000 miles!

Credit to it's previous owners on here, Roger being the hero doing 30-40k a year across Europe!

I've now ticked over 6000 odd myself since November, with plenty more to come... Love the thing!

I have just watched it too. I have a thing about properly used cars (my daily has 165k on the clock now), to my mind your’s is far more interesting than a low mileage example that has never really done anything.
Also of note, how many cars could do that sort of mileage and retain that percentage of it’s initial purchase price?
Keep up the good work.

Great video and a great car! Bravo!!

And Sam ist absolutely spot on. It is all about maintenance. And also heat cycles!
This is what wears an engine: Getting to temperature (cold engine until warmed up makes up for most of the wear and tear on an engine) und getting cold again. Expanding and shrinking of different metals and different parts wears them down.
50 miles of 10 short trips over several days is more wear than a one day, 500 miles trip from Plymouth to Edinburgh.

Well used and well maintained high mileage cars are a great thing. I should know this with my 997.1 C2 @ 210k miles atm tongue out
Much nicer car than a neglected younger, 60k C2S car I have driven recently. That one is on its original everything and the interior was much more worn.

Is that really where the market is for a Hartech'd 997.1? That money gets you into a nice 997.2 without the issues or too many miles...

I have sent you PM in case this post that directs you to Willam Francis is blocked.
My posts about my thought process, which matches yours, are elsewhere on here.
I bought the car for £21k & spent £13k on repairs which have a warranty from Hartech,
So at sticker price there’s a good saving.

Not sure I'd class £1k as a good saving, but thanks for the email and best of luck with the sale (I'm looking for a hardtop).
