Thanks Steve. Still not 100% convinced on the black wheels as I’ve never been a fan of black/black. It’s a bit like the automotive equivalent of double denim!
The previous owner had a small silver lip around rim added during the wheel refurb, which breaks it up a bit. Maybe trying to emulate GTS wheels?
Will stick with them for now as car piggy bank funds are pre allocated to sorting the DSC Sport Controller to get the PASM damping under control. Still slightly floaty and under damped on rebound in Normal mode. But much better than it was.

Basalt.....
sans stickers after some ppf and detailing work. Debating whether to put them back on again I have to say.
Stickers is as much a personal choice as it is down to the colour. I think darker cars with with or without.
That Mexico 3.8 and the 4.0 IIRC had the same first owner and were both stickerless at one point. Same for mine, I don’t think it’d look right without them. The rear quarter looks way too big and “plain” without the stickers to break it up.
997 GT3RS going for sale here, happy bidding if it's your thing

Ooh I didn’t know we had a Basalt one in the Uk. I’ve seen one in Europe with the red wheels/stickers but I like that with the white gold!

Somewhere.....I'll have to dig them out.
Picked it up, drove to Spa, track day at Spa.......being absolutely respectful of the rev limit (for break in, not rev ranges!!) and run in period, with video to prove it in case anybody wants to have a pop!.....cross country from Spa, tunnel to UK. Run in done. UK rego following day.
Spa was pissing with rain which got my derriere twitching........imagine binning it at Radillion in second day of ownership. Criminal.

That’s awesome - don’t suppose you’ve got any pics of the factory collection and the epic “first drive” home?

Evening,
How important is sports chrono and PSE on a 997 C4S gen 2 manual?
If you want them, they’re important. How important is sports chrono and PSE on a 997 C4S gen 2 manual?
If you’re asking if they’re important, then I guess you don’t think they are?
If you’re asking in relation to resale, can you see a difference in price now between cars with/without? Any difference now will be reflected in the future, so if you spend less now you’ll sell for less later, but there’s no reason why the “percentage gap” would change.

Zero important for me. SC never used it in 15 years thus far. PSE very quiet on gen 2 other than cold start sounds great for a few mins. How important is sports chrono and PSE on a 997 C4S gen 2 manual?
Anyone got any thoughts on the wheel or is it, er, just a wheel...
