I did get Mechanical, Direct, Light
More importantly in his last sentence, he clearly stated that it was probably the last naturally aspirated GT3... If only we could all drive like him.... only 4 weeks to go, until mine is collected... another Guards Red.... I think that's the most popular colour so far.
Cheers

A GT3 arrives about every 4 years so I really doubt that in 2020 / 2021 we'll be having an N/A GT3 again...Cheers

If RS is PDK only that makes it the last manual N/A GT3 we'll see

I'm 100% confident they'll stay naturally aspirated... but they just might have some batteries attached to them next time
If it has you'd think that maybe it would be PDK....I am sure there's lots of electrics at work in the gearbox helping the switch between battery and internal combustion. Picked mine up yesterday, only 70 miles racked up so far. The GT3 replaced a GT4 but I have also owned a 991 C2S manual and a F430 manual in the past, among others.
A couple of thoughts for those eagerly awaiting their cars:
Gearbox - early impressions are that the gearbox is smoother than the GT4. Easily the best manual I have driven (if not having the drama of the Ferarri gate). I love that the gear selector now displays when the lever is moved rather than when the clutch is released (as per 991/GT4). Should help to reduce the possibility of a money-shift.
Visuals - I love seeing the new rear vents in the rear view mirror. The wing definitely inhibits the view more than the GT4 though. Shame you can't see the wing tips in the side mirrors.
Engine - sounds awesome, sounds more powerful than the GT4. The exhaust valves seem to open lower in the rev range as you go up the gears - you can begin to imagine what the car will sound like further up the rev range when you put your foot down in 4th at 3k rpm.
Rev matching - when I turned on sport earlier the car revved hard when I put the brakes on? My GT4 didn't do this previously, has any one else experienced this? Is it in anticipation of a down change? The GT4 would only blip as you changed gear.
Overall the car just feels really special, the engine, gearbox, clutch, steering weight/speed all just seem so finely tuned.
I can't wait to hear it screaming at 9k

How do you find the clutch weight vs. GT4 - others have commented its slightly lighter ?
Well - 70 miles in it today and all I can say is WOW - what a drive...
The gearbox is superb - really tight and direct gearshift action with a proper positive engagement when engaging the gear. The clutch is light, but doesn't feel too light - it's a non-issue. The pedals are good for heal and toe-ing. In comparison to a GT4 then it's much better in this regard (note - both shod with PCCBs). Indeed it was really good and I found myself not using the rev-matching feature - although that is very good for when you are just leisurely driving.
One big thing to note - the engine responsiveness - if you even think about modulating the throttle input, then the engine responds instantly and you can feel the rate of change of acceleration change immediately too - this is much more noticeable that in any previous GT3 I've driven.
Handling is epic just as all GT3's are. The PASM is good - the firm setting not too much different to it not being selected - on the road at least - so for most of the time, I had firm PASM and no Sport button so that I could heal & toe. PSE on of course...
More to follow in due course, once I have done more miles - but so far bloody awesome

Chatting to Rick yesterday - he’s a great guy. Your car looks lovely - I think I’ve decided that my non existent car will look very similar to yours if it ever happens - It’s actually been quite good going second as you get to see lots of cars and I keep changing my mind - So all I really need is an allocation now
I love your optimism and posts It makes my ‘hopeful, possible, probable, not bloody sure if I’m getting one’ dreams feel less depressing knowing that there are plenty of others out there in the same situation as me.
Collected my new Macan GTS today and there was a Yellow Manual GT3 with full Clubsport spec ready to go out on Monday so another happy owner counting down the minutes....
