I've not seen any weights, but I've read that 18-ways are particularly lardy...
Yep! I can confirm that.

I almost put my back out removing them from my car once frown

Just heard from the OPC that my Touring (complete with Alcantara Sun Visors) is now in the UK, awaiting customs clearance. Should be with me next week, for the heatwave - just clearing my diary smile

Out of interest have you, or anyone else for that matter for a definitive weight on the Porsche OEM seats across the board, buckets/4way/18 etc? I’ve searched a few times and not managed to find anything definitive.
a pair of the 18 ways are 128.0 lbs, sort of offsets that carbon roof saving !

GT2 buckets 78.0 lbs a pair (ie the folding buckets)
LWB 72 lbs a pair ( not sure what LW stands for)

A Recaro Pole Carbon single seat weight in at 9.9 lbs lol ie like in the BMW DTM and Merc GTR

the weights are from rennlist and they don't say what's inc. In the weight.

you can buy a non slide mount for the passenger and a nice mount for the driver, weight of a mount inc the slider is 10lbs.

so if you wanted 2 seats on 2 sliding mounts that's 39lbs, but I would forgo the slider on the passenger side.

39lbs all in (or about 35lbs for 1 sliding and one fixed) that's a big saving over 128 lbs or the LWB 72 lbs (even if they do inc the hardware on those weights)

Your weights are correct although i think the weights of the two bucket seats are the other way round ie LWBS 78 lbs and Folding 72 lbs..I'm not 100% sure but recall reading it somewhere..

Yep reckon the electric motors largely account for the slight extra weight of the p11 Spyder buckets.

Worth it though.... they look and comfort wise far better than the older folding buckets imo.

Told you that over two years ago when you were adamant that the 981 Spyder was just a GTS with a crappy roof.

As ever, things change when you replaced the GT4 with the Spyder...keep talking it up....lol to use your terminology.....hehe

Where are the pics?
Yes come on.. pics please! Looking forward to seeing it smile
Yes don't be shy, I know you said it was an unusual or unique combo and would probably be derided on here, but I can't really see that being the case, plenty of friendly enthusiasts on here wavey

Check the Spyder thread and report back then.

An apology is awaited but not expected.

Couldn't agree more. The GT3 topics have become dominated by aggressive self opinionated posters who consider themselves top class peddlers. It is either "their way or no way". They've possibly been amongst the quickest at a few track days, and a couple of instructors angling for a tip, have told them that they might have some talent.
Some self-deprecation, manners and respect for others would make this forum a more agreeable place.

Tbh, the pink handbag out scenarios are quite funny. I also think a lot of it is done with a smile on their faces. I think the ""C***t word used above ( or wherever ) was a bit ott though...Think on many forums you will always get a few that want to be top dog, its just a personality trait, always going to happen.

Here's a picture of mine after being ppf'd and detailed by Gurcharn's Elite Detail in Knightsbridge.

I am running it in so very early days.. but so far it's all i would have wanted it to be. Perhaps a bit more as I find the engine sound to be even more engaging than my 991.1 GT3.

Very nice indeed.

Can you feel the extra low down pull compared to the Gen1?...
