Do either one or both of those include the £2k First year tax .Mine comes to £131k ex RFL.
Mine was £132500 plus road tax at I think 2k so a whisker under 135k.
Complete bargain when you think about it!

Nice. That was my second choice. Will look good with black decal on side?

It is a bargain compared to any other car in its class, and markets forbidding, will hold its value at the same time. I take the view that the only cost of a car is depreciation. Hopefully that will be low, which allows me to buy such cars.

I always think of a bargain, as buy one get one free when I buy some bog roll or 3 for 2 on bottles of wine, not paying Porsche finance on a £135k car and £2k in RFL fee's lol

I am even thinking is the GT3 worth £60k more than a GT4, nope it's really not.

I could have a GT4, a Ducatti and a new Exige or just a GT3 !!! I feel like some of these cars are quite expensive and were it not for the free use of them sales would be next to nothing like they used to be.

If your cash is making no interest then the GT3 at RRP is better than money in the bank for me currently.

Unless you don’t have a slot then it maybe doesn’t make sense?

I know but the Ducati and the Lotus are both made from papier mache ! smile

I drove an Exige Sport 380 a while ago... not for me. The gearbox from the Toyota Avensis diesel was a complete No-No... Looks nice though but.. no.
As for the Ducati, its a nice piece of art for the man cave.

the list just makes the GT3 look less of a bargain imo you could put Caterham in there or any thing, no new car is a bargain when figures of £135k and £2k road tax come into it, let alone the ave £20k in finance on top !

I am sure I have a slot, my OPC keep telling me I do lol but still no deposit paid, I am staring to think do I even want it !
I might be the 1st person to turn down a slot ! ;-)

A lot of leper's wouldn't mind the modern Porsche you have (991RS and 7.2RS) I suspect......

Don't mean to sound like as much of a prat as I'm sure this comes across but for those of you (especially) with GT cars already, is getting a new one really that important you're all on such tenterhooks about an allocation?

20k in finance?! If you put in a sizeable deposit, its about a 1/4 of that and the current rate on the GT3 is 5.83% APR from Porsche.
If you don't have a decent deposit then yes, it's more expensive, obviously.

My deal is not as good as that, hence to me I might have to turn the car down, the whole thing has put me off the brand, there are loads of nice cars to try.

Been there done that fella... For sheer driving Nirvana there is NO comparison end of, all the rest around the GT3 price point go fast in a straight line, give them a bend and they wouldn't know which way the GT3 went... but im sure you already know this.

I somehow don’t believe you ‘if’ you get an allocation

So are a large majority of people financing their GT3?

I presumed that most would have been cash purchases, but having never bought a new GT car before I don’t know the protocol. I understand that it’s good to use someone else’s money, but at 5-7% APR is not be comfortable loading a large amount onto my new purchase.

To be fair, you could level the same thing at a lot of NA manual cars as well not just the turbo dual clutch jobs. Having driven a facelifted and very mildly tweaked 986 a while ago again, the car was truth be told, a revelation. Excluding stuff like mechanical hardware, the 986 for me on the road anyway absolutely lacked nothing compared to any later Porsche from the 9X7 onwards nevermind 9X1 for stuff like driving feedback and chassis feel.

I think the OPCs should read this thread in order to determine who gets a car smile Especially now that MrDemon doesn't want his smile
