So, a new GT3 has been launched, quickly too, with what appears to be...slightly more torque and I’m not sure what else.
The 991 RS continues to therefore soften, and becomes a more appealing option in PDK IMV, and a few others I know. There are serious numbers of them for sale.
Is it that quick though? The .1gt3 was launched in 2013, albeit with deliveries interrupted for the recall for first engine problem. The RS was launched 2015. 2017 for the .2 isn't really that far apart from the 997 (7.1 2005 and 7.2 2009, 7.1RS 2007, 7.2RS 2010) other than having the introduction of the R and gt4? Production numbers are far greater now of course but the RS and R are only softening from loony overs numbers rather than list prices. If anything one could argue Porsche should be producing even more models/cars.....The 991 RS continues to therefore soften, and becomes a more appealing option in PDK IMV, and a few others I know. Its not 'Small overs' i can tell you for sure... ive been offered 3 cars all 35K,40k overs, a friend bought one for 35k overs, i refuse to pay over 100%
Don’t mean to be flippant, but that’s ‘small overs’ when compared to what the RS was trading at. £150k car trading at £285 +. I’ve been offered at £35k, but don’t feel the car is worth anywhere near it when the RS can be had for similar.

Limited Manufacturing capacity or they would be IMV, the emissions debacle has hit home hard. Personally, I think the ‘overs’ honeymoon on the GT models is definitely waning. The RS was always a £180k car from new, and will settle below that IMV. The new one...small overs as seen with the 991.1...then au revoir when the 992 is muted.cormeist said:

I agree with Rob if that’s the starting point the overs are small - at this stage with virtually none for sale they should be far greater and I bet you could trade at £k 25-30 over if there are 3 on offer - it doesn’t “feel” like the same market as when the RS came out to me - not talking them down just feels different - happy to be proved wrong as always Edited by RSVP911 on Saturday 21st October 17:54
I think it's early days.
Only a few cars have arrived, the UK road test reviews haven't emerged yet, the market always goes quiet at this time of the year.....
Classic car dealer I know, always says the market wakes up after Christmas - specifically from Boxing Day - people have time on their hands, bonuses, the days start getting longer, summer holidays are being advertised, dreams of that lovely new car for the spring time....
It will be interesting to see how it pans out, but if there is any sign of lethargy towards the new GT3, then I suspect it means the whole market - classics, investment, collectibles, premium, prestige.... will all be in decline.

A manual gearbox. I know you're not a fan but lots are and the reviews so far are very good. Could be the last N/A GT3 too. For those that don't like PDK and there are many, the RS doesn't do it.
The 991RS was about 132k new. A complete bargain and still trading well above list. Min 50k in nearly all cases. We're approaching winter now but if you ask me the market is still pretty healthy. There were some strong sales today st the silverstone Porsche sale.

So you've driven a new GT3 then?
Cannot be much of a change from the 991.1 the techs all the same which makes it easy to drive. I am waiting for pec to get a Manual car before I book in my slot.
I know you love automation though so it will suit you.
I collected our new Macan GTS yesterday and had a chat about my GT3 allocation but there is still no confirmation of build slots for Q1 yet.
On a positive note they are expecting to get their build slots for all the Porsche range in the coming weeks so hopefully we will all know positively or negatively by mid November

You can't book an 'invite' PEC day unless you have an allocation.I am waiting for pec to get a Manual car before I book in my slot.
