Basically less is more with the T

GTS is an attractive package but add in some necessary options and it is an expensive non GT Porsche for GT3 (new) money. Bit lardy too. Unlike the 997 GTS.

A T, late GT4 or 981 Spyder would be where the smart money goes.

T is a back to basics ethos and promises a great slightly retro package.

Rare too.

981 Spyder is the one I want to own at some point. Just need the right opportunity to present itself!

Great cars and overall package C. If you want one I would buy soon with this cold weather as the prices are very seasonal.

Prices rose around 10% last Spring when the sun and warmth appeared.

If I were in the market for a T then it would need to be yellow. Love it in the pics

Collect mine on Saturday; Porsche Leeds at around 1pm smile
Will be at Redline Specialist Cars in Harrogate first though for a couple of other collections at 11am onwards.
All welcome along to either - has turned into a meet up more than handovers!

Know of a couple that have been 'flipped' for overs already, lol, but no spec amendable slots left as far as I know.
There are a couple cars knocking around pre specced I've seen. Worth calling around though.

Try Guildford OPC - they had quite a few slots available fairly recently.

So I have to lock down my specification tomorrow and I can't decide which of two configurations to go for....

I have set my self a budget of £100k as that feels about right for the T....

The sporty configuration is PJYHBNS2 and the comfort is PJYSSBQ3.

Which one would you go for?

Hi

Is the difference that you're dropping Buckets for Glass roof between each. If so, I can't help you as I had the same dilemna and went for both !!
If you are happy with the shape and comfort of the LWB's (and definitely try before you buy), I would say that I would choose the LWB's over the glass roof, or just find another couple of grand in your man maths and get both smilesmile The T interior with LWB's just looks so special imo, I went yellow interior and for the extra dash stitching too and am very pleased with the outcome.

Thanks Chris and yes the main difference is Buckets verse 18way + glass sunroof.

I currently have a 991.2 Turbo S which has most options and that replaced a 991.1 GT3 so quite like the idea of a low spec car hence the 100k ceiling otherwise I could see myself ticking all the boxes....

I had the folding buckets in the GT3 and found them comfortable and would have chosen them if they were offered with the T interior, I have no real experience of the full buckets and my OPC has no cars with them fitted to try.

I think I will try and find some buckets to try and if they feel okay, I will go with that option....

The pictures of your car look very nice, especially the extra leather packs!

Strip the T to its lowest possible weight and in the process make it unique.I would spec it RY, Buckets, manual,RAS,PCCBs and keep the unique to T features like the lightweight glass etc.
The lightest configured T will weigh at least 80Kg less than a PDK,Steels,Roof ,18 ways etc which will make a massive difference in how it drives..

Totally agree Taffy...spec it to accentuate the ethos!

Specs/price can get a bit giddy for the car it is, but this is my first 911 so went with my gut and really pleased with the outcome. The seats look great in the T interior and stick with the lightweight ethos, the glass roof is absolutely cosmetic and goes against the ethos of lightweight smile the feel of the LWB seats when driving make it much more of a car than the base Carrera I drove for a trial prior, as long as you can get comfy in them

I’ve got the glass roof and I love it.... Adds more theatre to the experience and even more noise into the cabin..... and love the extra light in the car as well.. I also think that the black roof gives the visual effect of lowering the car....... I love the bucket seats but not an alcantara fan and the steering wheel add was also a no no.... for me..... Also like the fact I can get the kids in the back ...!!

Has anyone got a fix on the early cars for the DAB yet..?
