The reason for the email is to make you aware of a stop sale campaign which effects delivery of your new Panamera , unfortunately we were informed late Friday of the stop campaign which includes all makes and models in the Porsche range. It is in reference to the mobile booster in the centre console and only effects cars in the UK. Porsche are working on a fix in the short term and hopefully it won’t have an impact too much on delay.

I trust you understand that this is out of my control and has no bearing on Porsche Chester, as soon as I have an update I will come to you 1st instance. We are being informed it could be up to a 2 week delay at the moment but they are working on it as we speak as it includes all centres and all cars.

Also, why would anyone want Power Steering plus on a sports car?? I've noticed that a couple of T's on the OPC website have it. I'm prepared to be enlightened.

I've finally succumbed to temptation and intend buying a T next week..Based on owners who have taken delivery any advice on 'must have' spec would be appreciated..I've been offered a Lava,White or GR car with a combination of glass roof or not,manual/PDK etc..
My only 'must have' is RAS, every thing else is open for flexibility although i want to keep both weight and price down ..

If you've been offered a choice of colours then I'm assuming that the specs are fixed. So on that basis and what you've told us... a sunroof is heavy and costs money, lava costs more than white or red (and looks horrid), PDK is heavier than manual and costs more.

That should narrow it down a bit for you

Mine is yellow, manual, lightweight glass, no rear seats, T interior, 4 way seats, Bose, DAB, upgraded lights and a few other bits. But I'd say that manual is the only 'must have' - everything else is just fluff

Agree the sun roof and PDK are a no no on the T...defeats the basics ethos of the car....as also imo is rws.

Lava will be quite rare but too expensive imo. Most common colours white and silver. Only 2 red on PH including mine which is basic spec...'manuel', T pack, pcm, rear seats, lightweight glass, sports seats etc.

A few at OPCs for future sale most are silver and white .......unpriced as per Porsche GB policy but a couple were c £10k over list as is the Miami blue car at JZM.

Pre reg new cars with no overs..Trouble is quite a few of them have been stupidly specced with PDK and glass roof...WTF...! If one is manual with non roof i will get one otherwise i will give it a miss..
I really like the new BMW M2 Competition so i might buy that instead...'Manuel' of course..;)
Edit..First choice colour on T is GR...No brainer IMMHO

White Sheffield car 18 18 no T pack list c £88k. Price £99990.

Black Leeds car 18 67 T pack list c £95k. Price £105990.

Richard and Taffy.....if you are buying make sure it has digital radio as Porsche cocked up on this and quite a few cars came without as a no cost option although I understand they MAY retrofit.
