Seating height appears higher which is preferable and much more comfortable in the LWB’s (who'd have thought!) than the 18 ways which gave me numb bum on the way there after an hour. The visibility is excellent and the cabin appears brighter too with a faultless T interior.

Have you got the folding buckets ? It's one of the things I think is odd about them to be honest they sit quite high in the car at least they were in the 991.2 GTS I drove which had them. I'm just over 6ft and found them too high.
I've got the full buckets which can be adjusted up/down/forward/backward and are higher relative to my previous car but possibly just normal to everyone else.

I have never heard any manufacturer mention anything about 'comfort' tyre pressure as opposed to 'standard' tyre pressure.

Is this somthing that is unique to the T?

For the sports cars, its on all the 9x1 cars with TPMS - which is now standard.

Guys I have been offered an unregistered 911T tonight. I have to admit this is not a car I had considered but am now majorly tempted. OPC telling me this is a real rarity. I see 18 on the used OPC website but clearly all are registered. Can anyone in the know tell me whether this really is a genuine find or are there plenty of 'showroom' cars out there? Many thanks in advance.

I reckon about one showroom model for every other dealer..... where is your dealer and what spec is it..?

It depends what spec you're after?? If you're after pdk with privacy glass and a sunroof there seem to be quite a few around. If it's manual with a spec you like then your OPC might be correct.

I've been asked to keep spec under wraps, suffice to say it's manual with RWS and 918 seats, no privacy glass etc. If I sensed there were plenty around I'd be tempted to wait and see but I'm assured that ahead of the factory closure to get an unregistered car is unusual...more than happy to be proven wrong but would love to hear facts about what is newly available...many thanks again. I am told I need to decide pretty quick.

With that spec, I don't think there'll be too many around. They may be telling the truth!

I think it depends on your body shape. Although I love the look, they are amongst the most uncomfortable seats I’ve sat in

Agree the 918 style seats ruin the car.

I only agree that the 918 seats either suit you, or not. I've spoken with many 911 owners with different preferences, and recently driven same cars with different seats.

To me, there is no denying that if you find them comfortable (and not everyone does), they transform the feeling of the cars. I love mine in my T, I am not slim, but they suit me and also the car imo.

Dont' just sit in them though, try and find a demo, or a kind friend, with them in and compare them over an hour or so of driving if you can.

Which area are you from, if you're in the Northwest? - My T has RWS, LWB's and few bits and bobs if you fancy a ride driving

No one has ever said it about past 997 GT2 Buckets seats, we have had 1000's of owners on said cars and seats , never any issues.
hence quite a big turn around of GT car seats ordered this time round, many people going back to the 997 GT2 Buckets.

Since the GT4 and all news cars we have quite a few people disliking the 918 style seats, it is what it is, even to point we have 3rd party companies making brackets to tilt them more.

it's a poor design seat, it's that simple, the ergonomics are not correct and add weight to your lower back what ever shape you are, they are not even a good bucket as they are made to fit 16stone plus people now also. I have owned 93 cars and the 918 seats are just about the worse seats I have had and all 5 of my cars have buckets of some sort atm.

A simple £150 bracket would transform it though, but atm we see posts of GT3 owners fitting cushions and lumber lol !!! never happened before.

Resale value and vanity over comfort it seems.

Try them yourself. I've had them and found them grand.

I have LWBs and recently did an 8 hour day with them. Very comfortable and felt great when driving.

It’s fair to say the seat suits you or doesn’t but a bit OTT to claim the seats are no good.

why is it OTT, we don't have 1 or 2 people not liking them we have 100's and 3rd party companies making parts to make them a bit nicer !!

If you are very fit and have zero lower back issues then the seats will not cause you any discomfort, but the tilt is so upright it's added pressure to people lower back what ever shape you are. That's just basic human anatomy ;-) if you dead life weights and have a very strong core then the pressures of the upright seat will not effect you as much, the tilt does not have to be, much the 997 GT2 bucket must be less than a degree different, but enough to put the pressures across a bigger part of your back rather than your pelvis area.

It's basic anatomy here nothing clever or odd.

I'm with you on that one . My lower back is glass most days or balsa wood on a good day hehe

The buckets are nice to look at but a complete no no for me hence I went for the 'normal' seats in mine.

I think you may be right re physical health influencing suitability and suspect you spend too much time behind a keyboard and need to get out more!
