Why is it still for sale?? Price and spec looks great.

I must say the opinions of all drivers are that they are a great car, but most OPC’s seems to have one or two in stock and the ones for sale seem to have been advertised for a while.

Are they a slow burner or a specialist car that isnt understood by the masses and seen as ‘an expensive carrera’?

I was seriously thinking about one of these - called around lots of dealsers and as you say virtually all have a couple for sale - seems like they was the last hurrah pushed through production to keep the OPC’s going before shut down - all I’d say is anyone trying to flip these at overs will probably be disappointed unless very lucky .

As yo say I’ve been “on this” for about a month - started with 8 on the locator , now around double this and the original 8 are still there - most dealer showroom stock isn’t on the locator.

I’ve decided to wait and pick one up some day in the future - fancy a yellow manual one , comfort seats , T interior , bi xenons , RWS - and that’s about it.

Maybe someone PM me when you fancy a change smile

Nice looking cars - will be interesting to see how many were made - I think more than a couple smile

I have LWBs and recently did an 8 hour day with them. Very comfortable and felt great when driving.

It’s fair to say the seat suits you or doesn’t but a bit OTT to claim the seats are no good.
why is it OTT, we don't have 1 or 2 people not liking them we have 100's and 3rd party companies making parts to make them a bit nicer !!

If you are very fit and have zero lower back issues then the seats will not cause you any discomfort, but the tilt is so upright it's added pressure to people lower back what ever shape you are. That's just basic human anatomy ;-) if you dead life weights and have a very strong core then the pressures of the upright seat will not effect you as much, the tilt does not have to be, much the 997 GT2 bucket must be less than a degree different, but enough to put the pressures across a bigger part of your back rather than your pelvis area.

It's basic anatomy here nothing clever or odd.
Blackmamaba, 5 mins ago this bloke was raving about LWB's. Now he is slating them. Go figure

Mine has what you want apart from RWS which, to be honest, I don’t think the T needs.

I have done 1000 miles in mine in the last 8 days and have no interest in or expectation of overs. I do have a couple of pals who have been looking hard for the right car for them, one is picking one up on Saturday from a Porsche Centre, the other got buyers remorse on a high spec car which re-sold in days to someone else. Both are still on the configurator I think.

I can say hand on heart that these cars have a little magic about them, mine is my 6th Porsche after 12+ years of fun in various different models (and countless loan / “experience” / courtesy cars and passenger rides) and I rate it very, very highly.

What I can’t understand about the T, and it seems to be a dealer spec issue, is the number of PDK cars.

There’s one in Leeds, lovely apart from that. Why would you add weight, complexity and something, to my mind and many others, that reduces the driving process? Seems to clearly fly in the face of the whole point of the car?

Very odd.

Because most buyers want PDK these days, it's as simple as that.

I wouldn’t buy that one..... it’s was a friend of mine ...whose on here.... He can’t drive ... thrashes around everywhere, crashing the gear, changing when he shouldn’t, wheel spinning all the time and generally hooning around .... speakers will be blown from all the R and B and the windows will probably be stuck in the down position as he drives with it open all the time......it will have more chips on the front than McDonalds...and smell of Benson and Hedges..!

Only kidding it’s a minter, proper run in and loved .......No dab though... hence he got a new one..!!!!!

Whilst for road use I’d agree... and I have gone manual as mine is classed as a ‘family car’ ! ..if you go basic with LWB’s and PDK you have a pretty effective track weapon for about 92k.....to hone your skills....

Anyone buying one do check whether it has the essential DAB as Porsche didn't fit it to a number of early cars.

I doubt the brakes would stand up to track abuse on the T. it's a 1500kg car on the smallest brakes !!!

I think lots of the T models ordered as dealer stock were so the dealers had some 911s to sell over the summer shutdown, as such I think they spec is often less 'driving enthusiast' aligned and more about what is popular on a 911. I suspect many of the enthusiasts ordered earlier when the car was announced/first reviewed.

Have you tracked it then ?, I would say after a few laps I would be over heating those units on a car this heavy.

The T doesn't mean its a track car.

Just thought I'd point that out lol.

Standard brakes are perfect for the intended road use of the car.

Despite what drivel the usual offender posts...hehe

Makes sense what you say about the last hurrah and now no more stock for the summer.

I’ve found a spec I like at my local OPC, but like you I’ve been looking at them for last 6-8 weeks and not a lot has moved. The Tewkesbury car at £89k concerns me that its a very low price, reasonable spec and still hasn’t sold.

My heart likes the spec I’ve found and it may help brownie points for the next car, my head says I may take a bath I dont like and still with no guarantees of something more special.

I’m sure it will depreciate, but I also wonder if it will be a car that once the stock has dried up a little people will appreciate more? It seems like all the owners truly love them regardless of their previous steer and that doesn’t happen very often.

Anyway, looks like I’ll have a few to choose from if I dont buy it. I just might pi** my OPC off in the process.

I’m definitely in the PH minority, but I want a PDK car and I quite like the Leeds spec. I like that the T looks a little different to the regular car, I like the interior and reduction in sound deadening, narrow body, etc.

I’m using my .2GT3 manual as a daily ATM and want something I can use to share the mileage, that still feels a little special still and I can use for longer business journeys and looks a little more discreet when I park it.

Manual on my GT3 is awesome and the PDK on my 991.2GTS was great as well. I’d be hoping the T with PDK would give me a great compromise and a car that I would still look back at after locking it.
