heaviest spec possible ?
Not really. That would include sunroof, pdk etc.
I'd be happy with that car as long as it has LW glass. The JZM car is very nice too.

But what's the point in a little shopping car?
What the point in the T, when you can buy the GTS or turbo. It has tiny brakes to run that sort of bhp imo.
Golfs a pretty hard core car matching GT3 ring times of old.
What I was pointing out is with NO engine mods the 2.0 4 pot can take 540bhp which is pretty amazing.

Using the How Many Left search there are 151 manual Ts in the U.K. and 86 with PDK. Rarer than a GT3...although not an R for sure.
When the T first landed I didn’t really get it but they are starting to grow on me. Differently a rare car looking at those build numbers compared to the 991.2 gt3. I do wonder how many light weight versions where made though. Lwb and a manual box is probably all that’s needed in this car. Edited by Tforme on Monday 29th April 18:35

Only 9 Ts on the OPC locater now as most have now been sold during the good weather rush. Usual story though there are some bizarre spec cars listed.
The T is a special car for sure and way exceeds the value of its parts similar to the 997 GTS and as the last of the essentially analogue narrow bodied Carreras I think it will hold its value very well over the next 5 years.
Said it before but it is very similar to drive as my old 997.1 C2S. Sounds good too. As a road car it is basically as rapid as the GT4.
You are right about the essential lightweight aspect. Anything else defeats the ethos of the car and you may as well buy an S or GTS. Mines fairly basic 'manuel' nav T pack perspex glass DAB etc and that's about it.
A future classic without doubt.

The point of the T is that its a narrow bodied manual and with 550PS, a GTS wouldn't see which way it went. And with the turbo only available as an extra wide 4WD automatic that's shooting for a different audience. It has tiny brakes to run that sort of bhp imo.

By the way, the PCCBs on the T are the same size on all 991.2s so no lack of stopping power.
If you think the Golf's a "pretty hard core car" you should get out a bit more
Looking at some of the cars available in the network, the yellow one at Colchester looks lovely. I'm just put off by the buckets and lack of rear seats (although I don't need rear seats I wonder if not having them will make the car less attractive for resale).
Buckets are confusing - love the look but not sure on comfort as I sometimes like to recline a little. I guess I'll need to drive it and find out if I can manage with them. Decisions.....

I've got buckets and I find them comfortable, however, it's the getting in and out that would get on my nerves if it was a daily driver. Redline cars have a nice yellow one with 4-way seats and someone here was selling a white one with folding buckets, rear seats and ceramics which I think is a great spec.

That’s my car, have had some good interest and thought I’d sold it twice, but actually quite pleased it’s still with me. Having had GT cars before I think it’s an engaging, fun car and different enough to stand out. Might polish it over the weekend for extra bonding.Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
