Unless you really want it I can’t see the need for anything beyond rear camera on 992 which is good.

Much better than on Macan where I wish I’d specd surround

Was going to option privacy glass until I drove a 992gts with, hated it from a visual aspect!

Been told my T allocation is likely to be for May build - what's the timeline to delivery from build? When would away build allocation be confirmed?

If you have placed deposit and signed paperwork, you should get email from Porsche UK confirming order. If no delays once build starts it’s about 2 month before it arrives at dealer.

Thanks for all of the input - I've come to the conclusion I'm over spec'ing my T.

A couple of things I've spotted whilst reading this and other forums...

1. The T comes with a lithium battery as standard (not just if you spec the RWS). It seems a battery conditioner is a must if it's not your daily driver and
2. Do you know if you get the 'sports exhaust' switch on the T like you do with other models - I can imagine the ear ache (pun intended). I'll get if when returning at night the car isn't in "quiet mode".

Hi, congratulations on the allocation ... it seems that although the T gets sports exhaust as standard apparently you don't get the dedicated switch unless you specify the silver exhaust tips. You get two assignable switches as standard though, so you can assign one of those to control the exhaust or you can also control it through the screen.

That’s not a million miles from my spec. I always add folding mirrors as they are handy for parking (and I’m sure the cars defo locked when I walk away!).
The £93 fancy fuel cap is a lovely thing to use.
I live in the country so PDLS lights are £699 well spent for me.
A reverse cam is also a bit of a no brainer at £400 odd.
Personally don’t see the value in £821 headlining (how often do you look up inside the car anyway?!).
I have the race tex wheel which is a lovely thing to use but mines heated (as it’s always freezing up here in Scotland!).

Hi Greg, seems like a nice balanced spec my thinking has been very similar ... with the Race-Tex roof, I've been recommended to get the sunvisors in Race-Tex as well as it may look odd but it is subjective. The reversing camera is useful if you are used to it on other cars. The standard audio is not great ... Burmeister is probably overkill but have you heard whether BOSE is coming for UK Ts?

Needs the Belt Outlet Trims in Race-Tex to tie into the roof lining option you have ticked.

No whispers, but I suspect March 2023.

Selected dealers got their demo allocations in Dec-22, so build in Jan/Feb for delivery in Mar-23. No?

Seems odd for such a short lived model for the dealers to get demonstrators. I could understand having one for the press fleet and one at PEC. I was in Reading on Friday and they allocated their cars, didn't mention that they were going to get a demonstrator.

Very interesting… Guildford told me they will keep a demo,as per the mothership instruction.

I agree with you that there is no point keeping a short-run parts-bin special on the fleet, unless it is a press car, but then it would be Reading or Silverstone(?)

I wonder if Guildford just need a new 911 demonstrator of any description, they sold their Carrera cab before Christmas and their GTS has now got 10K miles in less than six months.

BTW, have you been to PEC or are you going before your spec needs to be locked?

Suspect your right and also suspect my car may well arrive in this batch, so will get a chance to road test it first hand myself anyway. wink

You must share with us your experience! Perhaps we should have a dedicated thread to fellow T riders

Thanks for the feedback guys.. I think I will add the folding mirrors and maybe the Racetex around the seatbelt trims. It sounds like from what my contact at Silverstone told me that they will be getting a T as a demonstrator.

I understand all the OPCs were offered a demo/showroom T in the first (March) batch. Luckily my OPC didn’t want another of either in their fleet so passed the allocation on.

I have been to PEC to drive other derivatives… I will have to lock in the specs before PEC gets their new T.
