Not revealing the full spec yet as I am a Youtube clickbaiter, but I've gone a little mad. £105k it came to.
Carrera T interior pack, 918 seats, manual, RWS, PCCB's, sport chrono etc etc, PCM back in & PDSL. Lift too out of necessity. No sunroof, aero kit or any frivolity otherwise though.

Anyone been more stupid than me?
I got to £108k way too quickly. However, you only live once yikes

Hi everyone, I have a Carrera T on order, March build for end of March early April Delivery. My spec locks down next week and i've just come across a dilemma having read through this post....

Didn't realise ordering ventilated seats gave you leather instead of sport tex, currently have the GT Silver Carrera T interior package on order with white exterior. As a big lover of leather over sport tex the big question is would this kill the car as a used car if i ordered leather? Would probably go with GT Silver Seatbelts to break it up a little as you cant have the leather with any of the 'T' stitching. Please help haha.

Leather wouldn't kill the residual value but it certainly won't help it.

The T, not unlike the GT3 Touring, has a retro ethos, so features such as the sport tex are part of the cars character so any car without the features which define it as a package would not help it's resale value generally speaking.

I sort of agree with that, but at the end of the day if you're paying the best part of £100k for a car I'd just get what you want and drive the wheels off it! driving

Have to agree with both of you which is why it's such a dilemma, looks like I will stick with GT Silver Carrera T Interior package, thanks for putting me back on track!

Spec wise as follows...

White, T Interior, RWS, PCM, Rear Seats, Bose, Sunroof, Tinted Rear Window, Cruise Control, Rear Park Assist, Smoking Package.

Get what you want.

I’m not getting the T interior either, as it’s not available with folding buckets (need rear seats so can’t spec full buckets, and find the folding better anyway).

If I was buying used it would be my spec I would be looking for. Horses for courses etc

Yep the older PO3 folding buckets are the better bucket seat imo compared to the Spyder P11 although the newer seats look better.

PO3 buckets are wider at the shoulders, narrower at the hips and with a slightly less vertical back angle. Some find they sit slightly higher in the car although this is minimal and the lack of height adjustment can be an issue depending on your height.

I prefer buckets but think for the T pricepoint they are too expensive. Furthermore I want rear seats and T pack so sports seats with sportex design in keeping with the car is best option imo.

Thanks Steve, nice to see your endorsement.

Mine is due to be built in the last week of February:

Yellow, T interior pack with yellow, Bose, magic wipers, cruise, rear parking sensors, rear seats, upgraded headlights, manual, smoking pack, badge delete (says 911 on the back), think that’s about it.

Deliveries to dealers have started here in Germany.

This one has fixed buckets with yellow stitching.

Has anyone read it's test in this week's autocar yet? The newsagents around my way don't seem to have it yet.

Not for the UK no.

Like the GT3, UK OPCs via PGB agreed to give up PTS for more UK allocations although this together with the weakening £ has actually resulted in fewer GT3s and the T is likely to follow suit bearing in mind the factory shutdown in May for redevelopment 're the e platform.

Imminent GT4 and GT3 RS will also have an impact on production.

Been offered a cancelled slot today for a T which I'm currently mulling over. I'm torn between having and not having the rear seats. Not having them enhances the USP and is the way I leaning at the moment but not having them may make the car harder to sell. I'd be interested to know what other people have done.

Get the back seats, every time. I've got a GTS, and I've driven it more than any other car purely because it has 4 seats! This is what make the 911 a super supercar! I've got a GT3 Touring coming and wish it had back seats!

I needed rear seats so have specified, and folding buckets to keep it on theme, and also because I love a bucket seat.
Can't have the T interior with folding buckets but that doesn't bother me at all.

I'm ordering mine with rear seats. I love the rear engine feel of the 911, but my fave thing about the 911 these days is that we'll be able to go out as a family. Kids are now in that sweet spot age where they are big enough but not too big to fit in the back of a 911 and I intend to make the most of it. My wife and I need two cars between us that the kids can go in and I don't want to run more than two cars.

I too love buckets and agree it's a shame that the folding buckets required for the rear seats stop you getting the interior pack. I could always go with standard front seats or adaptives, and then get the interior pack and rears seats... still slightly in two minds about that. The folding buckets are my favourite of the seat options and they suit my shape better than the full buckets. I'd defo say try before you buy on that as personal preferences seem to vary hugely.

I can see an argument that T's with full buckets might be particularly sought after in future, but, whatever, I think one of the joys of a factory order is getting to spec it for me not the next guy.

997 GTS came without rear seats in standard spec, almost all the cars you see have them optioned back in, it's been a while since I've seen one without rear seats, and the few I did see I remember stuck around a while.

There is definitely an argument for leaving the rears seats out and keeping the car simple and as standard. Each to their own. Whatever, I figured it's easier to order them with and anyone in future for whom rear seats is a deal breaker can always take them out. Same with PCM - someone can always take it out later if it really bothers them, but if you order without then very difficult to put it back in.
