Anyone for ‘T’
Discussion
Portsmouth OPC have 1 x Carrera T allocation left, still spec changeable (for about 1 week) and March build. They also have a GTS for the same time.
No overs there, lol. Great sales team at Portsmouth, so give them a call if anyone is interested.
By the way - I don't work for them - I just buy from them

I'm amazed they have a slot for a T left....less surprised about the GTS as OPC's seems to have a steady flow of demonstrators/showroom cars. terryb said:

Good to hear, nothing wrong with good morals and some integrity from OPC. I deal with Kendal and they seem to be a great team, so far !No overs there, lol. Great sales team at Portsmouth, so give them a call if anyone is interested.

Just for information.
I went to a certain newish Porsche dealership in the midlands that i've not dealt with before just to have a look around. I aske if they had any Carrera T allocations left and the salesman said no but that they did have a car coming through that had already been specced and that their customer would be looking to sell through them. They showed me a printout of the spec and said it would be registered to their customer and then sold and the price would be list plus £10k. Very cheeky.

I was in OPC Cambridge recently and they had allocations for the T remaining. Seems strange that other dealers are asking a premium for a used one provided the buyer is ok to wait a couple of months for delivery.
The Evo article seems to suggest good car but little difference to the standard car. I guess it depends what you are expecting to get - a nicely spec’d Carrera (in which case great) or a much more sporting road / track car (in which case you might be disappointed).
That’s what I did in the end...cancelled my T order and went for a standard Carrera....it made no sense getting a T and then adding in all the luxuries I wanted like 18 way seats and PDK. Just wish I was a bit younger and didn’t have a dodgy knee. The Evo article seems to suggest good car but little difference to the standard car. This morning I was at PEC Silverstone for a depositor drive in a Panamera Turbo S (amazing thing!), and at the same time took the chance to drive a standard Carrera with manual 'box. I'd only driven one of these at the Porsche Ice Force Levi school - i.e. on ice, and that car was a PDK.
Goodness, what a lovely package. The engine was free-revving and because it is not over-powered, I could enjoy using all of the throttle more of the time! I found the seven speed 'box to be smooth and lovely to use; heel & toe downshifts were a pleasure. The steering gave great feel, with a real sense of what was happening at the contact patch.
So, having really enjoyed the standard car, I confirmed my spec. for a T this afternoon, having provisionally specced a car a few weeks ago.
My car will be mid-March build, and with the following spec: Racing Yellow, Sport Design package, Carrera wheels in satin grey, yellow stripe T interior package with standard seats, PCM, rear wheel steer and manual gearbox. It's a simple spec.
I am looking forward to it arriving!

Nice one stefan1 - I’ve been telling everyone that the regular C2 Manual is a great car and if the T is just a little bit better, then it will be worth the extra Goodness, what a lovely package. There's a thread on the M Power page where you can edit/add in your own specification. Not sure how it is set up and works by would be a great idea and save you some work terryb. - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
