So, my new Cupra has Kessy.

To unlock the car I stroll up to it with the key in my pocket, touch the sensor on the door handle and hey presto it unlocks. Get in, press the pulsing starter button and off I go. All, worryingly easy.

To lock it the manual suggests it's a reverse of that, i.e. switch the car off, get out, shut the door, touch the sensor on the handle and it should lock. It doesn't!

The manual even seems to suggest once locked it won't open for a short while to allow you to check door handles to make sure it's locked.

It does lock fine by pressing the button on the key and if you press and hold the mirrors fold as they should etc etc.

Is there some setting somewhere in the system I've missed or accidentally changed and now can't find or is it something else?

I've also noticed that contrary to what the manual says there's no button on the b pillar to switch off the internal sensor. I occasionally leave the dog in the car for 10 minutes or so so I need to be able to do this! A quick search suggests that you actually do it by pressing the lock button a second time and holding it for a couple of seconds. Can anyone confirm that's the case?

You have to almost swipe your finger down on the sensor to lock it, as you swipe down on it the car locks. It’s odd and I still find it weird.

And yes, the way to turn off the sensors is to press the lock button, then again.

Cool, ta. A bit of messing about and I seem to have learnt the knack of doing it!

We're on our 2nd Leon and I still struggle with it.

I find it annoying that there isn't an auto fold option on the mirrors without having the hold the button down.

I think the auto fold by holding the button is a good way of saving wear on the motor.

They wont fold unless you want them to.
