991.2 GT3 RS - Here it is

I haven't taken delivery of my 991.2 GT3 (manual) yet.......I'm hopeful of a RS allocation but having seen it and read it's PDK Only (I've never owned a PDK car) I think I'll definitely pass on it if I actually get an allocation it's just too, too Dubai special all chintzy with extraneous bits and pieces all over it....not something I'd like to drive and be seen in at the weekend it would definitely attract the wrong kind of attention......in a nutshell "it's 'orrible" I'm sure it'll be a total weapon on the track and will surely be worth many £ overs but it's not for me......I think I'll sink my money into a 964RS.....Artic Silver would suit me just fine it'll sit nicely next to my new GT3 in GTSM

Fair ply to you for your honesty and not succumbing to the temptation to take an RS allocation and sit it in your garage for a couple of years before selling it back to your OPC. I suspect not many would do the same. The RS doesn't really hold much interest for me either....it's a fantastic looking thing but just a bit too OTT for me. Said the bloke whose ordered a Lava Orange GT3....
On the subject of allocations, has anyone here had proper confirmation?
It's coming up for 2 years since I was invited to deposit on 991.1 RS and nothing , but the first one they handed over was back in their showroom within a week for £275,000 !
The same dealer who agreed in writing that I was the first to register an interest in the 991.2 GT3
