Some of you come out with some nonsense, most of the uk opc dont have a clue whats going on.
The uk always plays second fiddle to most of europe, these countries already have more cars that sold out and allocated some time ago.
The factory close down, looks to need to be some what flexible,as the building is still in its concrete tower stage and a good layer of snow on top.
The second and possibely 3 rd batch will be after the factory gets sorted with more choice of colour and spec,i dont want to be railroaded into a basic spec and poor choice of colours.
Enjoy your new cars to be,i am sure they will be good fun
Yellow , Just thought about it ..... you possibly have the very first GT3 RS ever made , the 01 Press car ..... epic The uk always plays second fiddle to most of europe, these countries already have more cars that sold out and allocated some time ago.

I think i'm making a fair assumption that this early batch of RSs will not have the new much mooted Particulate filter fitted..Also all RSs which will be built for NA and ROW from September onwards in the second batch won't have this filter fitted.
What is the everyone's opinion on whether or not Porsche will fit this filter for RSs destined for the EU market after the factory reopens in September..I've heard that no RSs whatsoever will be fitted with the new filter as its restriction in the exhaust results in a 5% power reduction.Apparently this is insurmountable due to homologation issues and marketing problems.
It won't make any difference to the forthcoming 991 Speedster as that car is in a lower state of tune.Is it absolutely mandatory that the RS can not be registered in any EU country after September 1st 2018 without this filter or is it purely scaremongering...?
Seems like your OPC has given you more information than most Taffy. I doubt they would have two specifications of car in the same market i.e. Some UK cars having a filter and some not. If what you say is right that it’s a 5% power penalty that would mean the RS with the filter would have less power than the GT3 so that would be hard to see them doing that. WP RS’s are available in Switzerland from February 2019 too, according to the Swiss site..
Think the UK will see more too then.
The EU emissions thing presumably won’t apply to Switzerland though? But interesting they’re saying Feb 2019 that would mean a long production run!Think the UK will see more too then.

None of this has come from my OPC..They're either great actors or totally in the dark regards future RS allocations...I suspect the latter..I'm pretty confident that the total global build numbers for the gen 2 RS will roughly equal the gen 1 and continue well into 2019. What i'm unsure of if this extended run will include a second batch for EU states.
It all revolves around whether or not the RS will be allowed to be registered in the EU after September 1st without this filter.
Has anyone here got close links with the factory regarding this.?

I was told a few weeks ago by somebody pretty high up in the UK OPC network that WP will be offered to customers after initial cars in November sometime.I'm pretty confident that the total global build numbers for the gen 2 RS will roughly equal the gen 1 and continue well into 2019. Most countries will have available in second phase, maybe some of you are hoping the first run is all thats made, shame they dont make 20000.
I would not want to be the project director for the building going on at the factory now, especialy with a further cold snap, production could be allover the place in terms of dates.
