[quote=LaSource]Driven both 991.2 manual and 997.2 RS, and I prefer how the latter drives and makes me feel. I have zero issues with mezgers on the road and only ever hear of it as an issue from one poster here (not having a dig, just stating an objective observation)
No right answer anyway - some may prefer the other way and that's absolutely fine. All GT cars are brilliant machines.
Of course, some economics does factor in. At list price, the new car is a compelling economic proposition. At the peak overs (£175k+) the old car was a more attractive economic proposition.
Mine was out in Europe last week. It was in its element.
Always stunned by the amazing quality of your pictures, what kit do you use (complete photographic luddite here)?

Cheers. I use a Nikon full frame DSLR. Basically an old fashioned heavy pice of kit with old school proper lenses (as opposed to more practical point and shoot handhelds/phones/etc)To me an interesting or pretty car can look good anywhere - its then just a case of finding good backdrops around them. Circuit pitlanes after a trackday are my favourite as it is usually approaching dusk, the ambient light is fairly defuse, and the straight lines of the pitlane, garages, etc make for very interesting pictures. And of course a Porsche GT car looks so at home in a pitlane!

You really capture the very essence of the cars in your shots.

That photo of the rs outside the wing is a proper moody quality pic, think most of us have got lazey with phone cameras.

Drove my 996RS, 997RS and GT3.2 this week. Without doubt the best cat is the 997 RS... Such a fantastic piece of kit!
Remember coming to buy a car from you and drooling when you opened up the garage doors! What a collection of fantastic cars. Do you still have the Speciale?chrisABP said:

GT4 now gone and replaced with a more family practical E92 M3 Comp pack along with a Cayman R which as a road car is superb and offers more than the GT4! Good to see you still have the Speciale - stunning car!

hat sort of lens? I don't know too much of these things, but we had a fairly decent (albeit not full frame) Cannon DSLR at work and know the lenses can cost more than the body.
I use just the kit lens that came with the camera - it is a very decent lens but not a high end expensive one. You can sometimes hire an expensive lens for that one special occasion etc993rsr said:
Cheers, hat well and truly doffed:-)

Thank you. I obsess about these cars, using them, exploring their limits on circuit, and snapping them in their environments. It is just an extension of the joy they bring. You really capture the very essence of the cars in your shots.
I don't think I have any special photographic talent, but just bundles of passion and patience which boost any basic level of talent.
If I may indulge in a shared passion, then here are some examples of cars at end of day in pitlanes...at the risk of breaking PH site bandwidth!
Think that empties my reserves of car pics for PH posts
(though I do have a separate folder for on track pics )

To be completely honest, I don’t like the wheels on the 991 GT3...
Did someone say they ran different wheels but swapped them back over for the warranty (service ?) ?
Well, got my mortgage offer through... now I am really thinking about the prices and where they will be in a few months... seem to be quietly sliding on the 1.2 ( is that an approved abbreviation for a 991.2 Gt3 )

High bid of £130k for a 1400 mile originally Malaysian registered car.....looking at the overall auction didn't go very well. JK's 675 LT didn't sell with a high bid of just under £200k.
