Nothing new.
Happened with gen1GT3 and GT4 as usual seasonal dip arrived and speculators offloaded leaving the true enthusiasts with the best specced cars of which prices then firmed up and are still retail over list £.
This hasn’t happened for a very long time, it didn’t happen this fast with the gen1 gt3 or the gt4. Gt4 cars are still above list, for how little know one knows. Gen 2 gt3 cars seem to be dropping the fastest as speculators try and get out without making a profit. I’m sure we will get many gen2 gt3 owners talking prices up with the same time trying to sell out.
The next 6 months will be a real test and if the new gt4 doesn’t sell out it will show the true change in the market.

You are incorrect re the gen 1 GT3. I should know as within 6 months of taking delivery of mine I had 4 OPC buyers bidding me £40k trade overs which I refused and 12 months later they were some £15k trade overs which then subsequently rose ££ as prices firmed up as the better spec enthusiasts non flipper cars dwindled.
Easy to forget whilst there are a few more gen 2s than 1s there are far fewer 'niche' cars this time around that buyers want ie 'pdk 'manuel' touring' etc etc.

People need to start enjoying these cars and start driving them rather than keeping them as investments. Far to many gt cars produced nowadays to meet enthusiasts demands.

Shouldn’t it read
Why are Porsche OPC’s selling cars to flippers and not enthusiasts. I’m not prepared to pay over list for a car someone else has specified, hence why I’m still waiting after 4 years even though there’s hundreds of these apparently super rare cars for sale across the UK.

I thought it was supposed to be firming ( the price!) if it’s a manual - reading above. ;-)
Did many people choose yellow ?
GT4RS - when is the new gt4 hitting the shops ?
My OPC thinks we may see the first batch of cars end of quarter one. Last info I received was they were struggling with the new emission regulations on N/A cars. Did many people choose yellow ?

Turbo cars are apparently fine with the new regs, if this runs true the delay could be down to the the gt4 being N/A.

Great spec and a good colour if you want to stand out from the crowd. My TVR cerbera is yellow, you can’t go anywhere without people noticing!

I am really surprised this has not sold, it's manual and it looks amazing! If I was in the market for one I would have bought it yesterday! I think £140k would buy this. A smidgen above list. Amazing spec. 2+ years warranty. Fantastic colour (for a gt car).

Same OPC as i use i presume..This info tallies with some info in that there's a possibility that the Spyder will be a turbo due to unacceptable delays caused by the new WLTP rulesTurbo cars are apparently fine with the new regs, if this runs true the delay could be down to the the gt4 being N/A.

I can't recall it being a bad seller on the gen1? FWIW it would be in my top 3 colours - Black, Miami Blue, then Yellow. White and red would be at the bottom of my choices.
I have a RY PDK car and i love it but since i have no intention on selling, saleability is very low down in my priorities..My OPC DP said to me a while ago that red was the worst colour for selling a GT3 in..My OPC had a Graphite blue GT3 with steels a few months ago and sold in a few days.It was the colour which sold it apparently. My overall favourite Porsche colour is GT silver however my OPC have had a GT3 in that colour for about six months and no interest whatsoever in it..
It depends on who walks into the showroom as colour preference is purely subjective..

My OPC said they are really struggling with white for resale (I think he's including gen1s though). Red was popular simply because it was the launch colour - only issue is the majority of people spec'd red, hence why it might become the 'cheapest' colour if for only the reason of oversupplied. IMO there isn't *visually* a bad colour for the GT3, but with resale it's all down to demand / fashion at the time, and how common (not a good thing!) they are in that colour. RY is a safe choice. My overall favourite Porsche colour is GT silver however my OPC have had a GT3 in that colour for about six months and no interest whatsoever in it..
