the 9k gives the manual driver options without loosing power up there so it's very handy...
Obviously also useful on track. When I switched from 996 turbo to 997 GT3, this was something I found made quite a difference.

Back to the subject in hand, I think prices of a lot of stuff could drop over the next 6 months. No one has a crystal ball, but even so, there will be those wanting to get out of cars, either to have the cash or to cut their finance liabilities. This may be very transitory, or could be a bigger slump. It's not just Brexit now, but the global trade and economic issues.

If I knew what was going to happen etc. etc. ... but I think there could be some bargains. IMHO the 991.1 GT3 RS does look pretty good value.

The plus side for all used GT cars is the brand new equivalents will never be the same now.

But that's a function of gear ratios as well rather than simply the rev limit. A higher rev limit in itself doesn't mean anything as far as suitability on track is concerned. It simply allows one to maximise acceleration as long as the power curve doesn't drop off too quickly past peak power to the point where you start being better off changing gears to be back in the power band despite the higher gearing and that's fairly rare. The 981 gt4 in 4th and higher gears I think was the only case I can think of in a high-ish revving modern NA engine where that was the case. In just about every other car one might name you are going to be quicker changing at the rev limit.
