Quick blat in the new manual '3

That’s not quite right?
As well as the standard fitment of the short shift option, the T has a physically shorter gearstick. Have to say, I was very positively surprised when I first tried one.
I think you are a little dismissive of the T. It comes with slightly less weight, nicer gearbox, limited slip diff, lowered adjustable suspension, light weight glass, reduced sound proofing, nice wheels, sports exhaust, the useful part of sports chrono, bespoke interior, some bespoke external fripperies, and a few other bits and bats compared to the Carrera. The changes add up and are a great example of Porsche making a few tweaks to create something very engaging; it is an excellent road car.

As asked earlier in this thread, before it went 'off topic', has anyone any discernible experience of the manual variants of the new GT3 versus the new 991'T' ?
Well, I can answer that as I have both.Firstly, the gearshift in the T is very good indeed. Nice, snickety positive shift which is very satisfying indeed. The clutch is GT3 light which is good and overall it is a great gearbox. The short stick with Alcantara feels just as good as the GT3, probably as its the same. This is my DD and after 3 days I am sure I am really going to love driving this regularly.
The GT3 gearbox is more of an event - takes a little more effort to engage gear but is more sporting in its feel and more rewarding to use - especially when pressing on. It could well be the best manual gearbox ever made or ever to be made.
Both have immaculate rev-matching on down-shifts with the sport button pressed.
Hope that helps.
