Just Easter 'window shopping', and wondered, is there a search vehicle for seeing what new stock is currently available?

I'm assuming that the Porsche Approved Used Car search only throws up 'registered' or 'pre-owned' cars?

Be quite interesting to know what new cars are sitting at UK OPCs, or even anticipated arrivals.

Contact your local dealer, and they can search for you, and will be available to see cars which are not yet advertised for sale or are due into stock. Not sure where you’re located, but can recommend Porsche Bristol to look after you....

OK, thanks.

I know most OPCs have new (unsold) cars in the showroom, and presumably 'in transit', but it seems odd that we can only ever see the Approved Used lists.

It's only because it's a quiet Sunday that I fancied a browse.

I think in the U.K., most cars are customer ordered as opposed to delivered for stock unless a demonstrator. These tend to come in and be pre sold for when it’s replacement arrives. I was talking to my dealer about a Macan and he gave me specs on 2 cars coming in and available post demo duties. He didn’t mention any new cars they had in stock.

I don't think that's quite correct, I'm sure most OPCs carry some new stock. Not every customer wants to wait for a bespoke order - some want to walk in and drive out.

I heard that they were building supplies prior to the shutdown, and Porsche are trying to push 718 sales by offering lucrative terms for dealers to take new stock.

Just fancied having a look, if it was possible.

OPC’s aren’t allowed to....I asked the Head of Sales at the OPC I frequent why they didn’t use social media more because he goes to a lot of effort in speccing showroom cars (more than any other OPC I have ever been to). There was a phrase he used which was clearly the trade phrase for it...basically even putting a picture on Twitter of a new car they have in stock isn’t allowed something like “distressed selling”. That said some of the franchise dealer groups own websites show more stock than the official AUC ones...10 mile demo’s etc eg Stratstone, Jardine Motors or Sytner.

OPC’s definitely have unsold new cars, you just need to phone up...there’s no other way...I have just bought a new Macan Turbo PP which was specced and locked and arrives later this month. I was in the OPC near my office about a month ago, salesman said they had four 911’s unsold that had been specced and due with them before the shutdown, two 911 T’s and two GTS’s.

When I picked up my car last week, the dealer had a LOT of new cars sitting around, I asked hey and they said they’ve got a load of stock cars coming in because of the shutdown, they’ve been given a load of allocations that were purely for stock they had to spec up, they said it’s unprecedented.

They also said the shutdown is a worldwide one, I think the r ours were that it was only for uk or European cars, they said it’s all cars. There’s definitely people in the US on rennlist thinking they have summer allocations though.

Makes sense, keeps a bit of money coming in for the OPC’s, if they shift them..Certainly worth a look if you want a new ride...
