YES - I need this thread in my life.
Hoping to get to Spa, and the Porsche Factory as a minimum + getting few trackdays in the UK.
Would love to squeeze Black Forest and a bucket list few laps at the Ring whilst on on the continent.
Don't know if anyone else wants to think about organising a group trip? I'm kind of a first timer - (driven to Spa for the F1 years ago) - so would be good to join in with some more experienced folks.

Best place to look for Porsche group tours might be the 911uk forum: http://911uk.com/viewforum.php?f=6Hoping to get to Spa, and the Porsche Factory as a minimum + getting few trackdays in the UK.

Got something like a 500 Euro fine for not displaying a Vignette in Italy
Might have been Switzerland? There are tolls in Italy, no "vignette".Cheib said:
I got a CHF 500 on the spot fine a few years ago for doing 18 km/h over the limit...special rates for foreigners! Not a country to get caught speeding in.
Best roads and worst experience I have ever had driving there and dealing with the Swiss. Utterly bizarre Country. Cold, teutonic devoid of humour or empathy. I broke down in Andermatt ....will never forget the experience. Friend of mine crossed white line turning left in Zurich, off duty police officer followed him , clocked his address, went home, changed and returned to issue him a fine. I would nuke it from orbit.
Total opposite to the Italian side, lovely warm people.

I got some Michelin maps of the Italian Alps in 1/200,000 scale. Which are great for planning alpine days out. But I can't seem to find the same level of scale for Switzerland, southern Germany or Austria. The best I can get is a normal road atlas which is 1/300,000.
Will that be good enough for all the little wiggly roads up and down the mountains ?
Anyone got any suggestions. Michelin dont seem to do Switzerland, Austria or Germany to that detail.
I really want to spend the evenings after dinner pouring over maps with a glass of wine checking out the wiggliest route for the next day.
