Porsche 911 sales suspended?

My GT3 finishes build this week, fingers crossed this is sorted by the time my car is ready for delivery.
As per the poster above if you are without a car because of this I would think your OPC would get you a loan car either from their own demo or Porshe GB’s fleet.
Will they have to hand THE legalised booster though?. I bet it knocks delivery on a bit. Better it be done at the factory though..As per the poster above if you are without a car because of this I would think your OPC would get you a loan car either from their own demo or Porshe GB’s fleet.
As well as sending an email, OPC telephoned - PR/damage limitation in full swing.
He said that the system they use to register ownership has been locked, thus preventing any accidental new sales. I've no idea whether the system of which he spoke belongs to Porsche UK or DVLA. Either way, a new Porsche cannot currently be registered in UK.
The situation where a car has been registered but has yet to be collected sounds like a grey area.

Dont understand why the circumstances are ‘out if their control’ ?Surely they anticipate changes in legislation and modify production accordingly?
Porsche's consistency in being appalling at managing situations like this is incredible. It's not like this is the first time it's happened but they don't seem to learn. I guess when you have no trouble selling every car you make it's not priority number one. Or don't seem to care...

Interesting that the news about a major manufacturer unexpectedly having to halt all UK sales has not made it onto the ‘news’ section of a certain car news related website....
Or anywhere...And obviously all those bloggers etc who were effectively an independent voice now get all their content controlled in the same way!
The days of the likes of Chris Harris when he was at Autocar calling out Ferrari on tuning their press cars are long gone!
Received a call today ref Cayenne order. It was expected next week, but was told there is a production delay. From the conversation I understood it to be a normal production delay for a new model. But having not had a great experience to date I thought I'd post on here and Cheib kindly pointed me to this thread.
I'm now a little annoyed and concerned. I chased them up on delivery and have given the sale of my car a push to tie in with this roughly. Now have a couple of people interested and left in a bit of a quandary. If it's a week or so I can live without a car. But if it could turn into a few weeks that would be a different story. So really they should have shared the root cause of the delay so I can make an informed decision.

My Build Completition date was due to be the 20th April. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get delayed.
I’ve always found my dealer, Porsche Colchester and Porsche in general to be very good about this sort of thing.
As a business I’m sure this is the last thing they intended to happen and will look to resolve it ASAP.
Either way, I’m excited about the car and can’t wait for it to arrive! Especially with the latest Ring time rumours..!

I've just had an update from my dealer (Dick Lovett at Swindon, very impressed with their service) and apparently the official fix has been announced by Porsche. I was due to pick my GT3 up on Saturday morning (21st) and it seems that can go ahead despite the car only returning from Topaz on Friday.
It looks as if the fix will be software initially, with perhaps a hardware recall at a later date, but I'm sure huge relief to all of us due to pick up a car in the near future
