Hello collective 996 knowledge-wizards,
I have a loose door stay bolt on the driver's side of a 996 C4 car, where the door stay is fastened to the front wing bulkhead. Picture 1 shows this, with the bulkhead stay fastening circled in black:-

The bolt head has an inset hole to receive some device with which to turn it. Picture 2 shows this:-

Does anyone know what tool I need to get/borrow to tighten this bolt please?

Cheers.

I know it as a star key. I tried my star keys on my 996 and the T40 fits but is a bit loose whilst the T45 is too large.

Just checked my car and its an m8 spline, however, having 12 points an allen key also fits.

Try a 6mm allen
