Fair enough, the reason for my bumping of this thread is the fact I was actually able to purchase said the exact CGT in mention. The timing just so happened that when I was looking this car was for sale and a deal was done.
I haven't done a post on it or anything and kept it quite discrete simply because I have in fact not even seen it in the flesh yet, let alone driven it. I can hear the cries of trailer queen echo the internet even now. The reality is that I am based in New Zealand and this car is the other side of the world from me. In usual times this is not an insurmountable issue and it was my intention to use the vehicle when I was over in the wrong hemisphere as I am semi-regularly. However of course just as this car was bought the world went topsy turvey and I haven't been able to get over there at all. I'm not going to complain because far worse has beset many people and the car was a long term buy so it is just a patience game but it certainly wasn't my ideal scenario.
I'll post a bit more etc when I actually see it myself one day. In the meantime it is all tucked up safe waiting for the world to get back to normal a bit.

Thanks for that Yellow491, I will bear that in mind.
There was a bit of method to the madness in having the vehicle over there, not the least of which being that is obviously where the vehicle was purchased, there are currently 0 CGTs in New Zealand sadly. Also the reality is that most of the big events are on that side of the world so the hope was that the vehicle could be used to attend them, predominantly in Europe. Since everything was cancelled that plan was nixed to, although in a way that is good because I wouldn't have been able to attend anyway!
I am hoping that in the future we get back to the state where events are held and travel is allowed so some fun can be had. In the meantime I am like a kid who was told what he was getting for Christmas but that Christmas was delayed a couple of years.

I feel for you - would drive me up the wall to have one but not be able to use it There was a bit of method to the madness in having the vehicle over there, not the least of which being that is obviously where the vehicle was purchased, there are currently 0 CGTs in New Zealand sadly. Will feel all the more special for it though once you get the chance.
Let me know if you make it to the Austrian alps - plenty of nice roads here to use it
I thought this is an ineresting car - i suspect the most likely purchaser is somebody who already owns a standard CGT, but also would like to track one extensively

I remember that car being built, not very successful in period, also been messed around with a fair bit.https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id...
I have a set of 4 factory lift plates that fit onto the tub to lift or jack up the car if any one is interested, probably wont need them anymore.

It's anything but. I still remember the ABUSE it took, stone cold on the backstage of the auction house while some wk stains tried to turn it on and the car was running barely on 3 cylinders. https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id...
Car was pointlessly modded past return to originality without any need, parts were used that make no bloody sense (intake).
That car is not worth half what they are asking, and there is nothing this car can do than oem can't.
A bog standard carrera gt is as a race car as any road could ever be. One could literally just slap slicks on oem setup. What other car one could do that without bending the dampers, trashing the mounts et arms?
Mechatronik has this habit of grabbing cars that have been properly ruined and make them seem more special than what they are or will ever be and have the balls to price them beyond any rhyme or reason.

I'd rather crash the one with a full roll cage...A bog standard carrera gt is as a race car as any road could ever be. One could literally just slap slicks on oem setup. What other car one could do that without bending the dampers, trashing the mounts et arms?
