997.1 Turbo exhaust options
Discussion
Afternoon all. We are considering an exhaust system including manifolds etc on the 997 Turbo as it is really rather quiet compared to the other fast cars we own. I've viewed a few videos online but it is kind of difficult to get a good idea via youtube. I would welcome any view on the various options out there and personal experiences. I've been looking at the options on the website below but open to other sites.

Originally fitted a Tubi to mine but for me, it had too much drone, I replaced it with the EuroPipe which was much better.
It is worth meeting up with some other owners if you can before deciding.....
Europipe have also a few weeks ago released a new stage two 50 cel cat sports exhaust for 991 turbo. Makes the turbo sound very similar to new GT2 RS It is worth meeting up with some other owners if you can before deciding.....

would that not trigger a cel ?I have a SpeedTech exhaust with 100 cell cats on my 996 Turbo. No problems with check engine errors at all, very nicely made, and it makes a lovely noise especially at higher revs. The only downside is that the current USD / GBP exchange rate might mean they are no longer the bargain they once were compared with Europipe.

Is your car tuned? Most after market sports exhausts inc Speedtech won't work without causing cels unless they're tuned/remapped? Nice sounding exhaust the Speedtech and pretty sure it needs a tune/remap but happy to be corrected.IMI A said:

No, it’s standard apart from the exhaust. It didn’t even need spacers for the lambda sensors which are sometimes needed with 100 cell cats. I admit I was prepared to need to tune it, but pleasantly surprised when it was all fine. It’s been running for 5 years and about 16000 miles with the exhaust without a problem.pete said:
