So is PTS just like a list? I thought it was paint to sample and you could have anything you wanted? But this thread is making me think otherwise.

The name is a bit misleading. It is a list of about 100 colours, this is from 2015 when I chose Voodoo Blue for my GT4.

They have started asking silly money for it these days but it was one of my favourite options on the GT4 and I'd have it again if I had the choice.

It is possible to put a request in for true "paint to sample" but that takes a long time as the paint colour has to be tested etc. No idea what it costs....a lot I imagine.

Sir Elton John spent £293,000 on flowers in 20 months. For some people it really doesn't matter what things cost.

Were you at the recent PCGB Donington day?

Mine is Voodoo Blue too and a friend messaged asking if I was there!

Really like this...

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

But what I'm finding hard to get over is why you'd spec the stainless door sills and brushed console trim when carbon was standard? Then have carbon dash? Still....maybe I could live with it smile

You could probably get a vinyl wrap put on them if you really don't like them or even cough for replacement parts....you could always change them out again when you sold it and get a decent amount of your money back.

I think you'll be very lucky to find a car that's not got something you don't like......there are so many options on these cars now. The one things I don't like on 991.1's are the clear rear light clusters but lots of people like them!

Generally not a fan of clear clusters but they kind of work with GT Silver...maybe? They don't put me off at least.

Notice there's a newly listed car at Romans. Describes as PTS racing yellow?? Thought this was a standard colour as per GT3?

Apparently Racing Yellow and Black and maybe one or two other options were offered to those who weren't successful in obtaining PTS - I think towards the end of the run.

Saw the Romans car. If only Racing Yellow looked as good in the flesh as it does in their pics!

I really fancy a Viper Green biggrin

I saw Viper Green one when OPC Hatfield had one....it looked fantastic. Thing is if an OPC gets it's hands on one it won't be cheap and if you don't bite the bullet someone else will !

I heard about the Hadfield car...maybe about 4 or 5 months ago? I think it's actually the car in the pic above.

There is a maritime blue 991.1 gt3 rs that was specced by someone very close to the Piech family and had a cxx of painted calipers that doesn't even exist for us mortals and it is cheap to, 200 something, very few miles.

Yes it was around March I saw it. May well be the same car as Max Protect are close to Hatfield.

I heard that it’s been offered to the trade over the last couple of weeks but no sale as yet.

Not RS, but 991.2 GT3. Rare beast in PTS
