If you have questions just shoot.

I’d be very happy to see it go to another PHer.

Used lambos are forgettable cars imo, Ferrari’s are different.

Historically lambos normally fall in price harder than a Ferrari.
Very true, it's no normal lambo though, but yes out on a limb with my bet.
A no brexit deal might screw us though lol

Great car the performante and won a load of reviews, drivers car of the year in the USA and a ring record holder plus that v10 NA engine.
Just Beat the 600lt in car and would wee wee all over a 458.

But as you say not a Ferrari.

I hope the tories will agree to disagree and let common sense prevail..If they don't then we will have a GE and have Comrade Corbyn and Mad dog McDonnell in charge. And that will be the end of the UK as we know it.!

Back to cars the GT3 RS in sport auto lapped faster than the new pista best drivers car 2019

How did that happen ? I don’t read German ! Those R spec tyres again ?

It’s done very low miles and it’s a lovely spec. He’s trying his best to make a profit on this sale. If I’m not mistaken the cars owned by a chap who is either a trader or has something to do with a private car garage, most properly only bought to flip.

In all fairness he stands a good chance of selling it if he’s sensible as it’s making others look expensive ATM.

The last car to get listed for 139k didn’t hang around long so this one may sell quick as well as long as it’s not financed up to the hills.

I do like a gt car in white
Good value for a 67 plate with that mileage although it has steel brakes.

An equivalent ceramic braked car would be £148k.

Corbin needs a hard brexit and a GE to be able to push through his far left ideology. May is playing down the clock to get her plan through, getting the soft left and hard right to even debate her plan is the equivalent of landing a jumbo get on a clothes line.

We need a deal as I will be at Spa on the 1st and 2nd of April and would like to get back without a 100km queue to the Chunnel.

That looks lovely and very well spec’d. The satin wheels look great, so much nicer than the usual black. I really don’t get the obsession with black wheels!

It’s 50 years since I was only half paying attention to a university lecture on structures. That being the case my recollections on the transmission of forces through joints may be faulty and I would be happy to be corrected by someone who actually knows what they are talking about. That said, effective force transmission and bending moment relies on the members in the joint being fixed in position and direction. Holding a piece of tube to a thin plate with a couple of bolts is unlikely to satisfy either criteria. Calculation of force distribution around the body of a GT3 is more likely to rely on thin plate and shell theory; unfortunately another lecture that failed to attract my undivided attention. So I’m with Yellow on assuming the cage doesn’t add anything effective to the overall stiffness.

The cage on my 991.2 GT3 pings from time to time, generally when going over speed bumps. I have never heard it ping when on track.

The car is Nov 17 and the harness supplied as part of the CS package is only suitable for use with a Hans device because the shoulder straps are too narrow. I complained to OPC and they fitted a complete new Scroth with 3” shoulder straps.

One benefit of a cage is that when touring is that it is quite effective in holding luggage securely, albeit squashy bags only.

Other random observations from the thread.

996GT3 comfort spec a lemon? It must be 10 years since I bought FAB from Hunter of this parish and later sold on to Jack Wood also on here. I don’t think any of us thought of it as a lemon.

McLaren. The Super Series are fine cars and highly rewarding to drive with no lack of driver involvement and to that extent neither better nor worse than Porsche, just different. And if you want an imperfect comparator the 991.2 GT3 is far closer to a McLaren Super Series than it is to a CGT.
I asked my OPC to leave the harnesses in their boxes. Will fit Schroth ASM belts instead, the only four point belts I'll use.

Come again? In the autocar article the pista was over 3 seconds faster than the 3rs. Same day same driver which is the only reasonable way to compare the times.

with 458S prices at £325k and these at £199k I think it's a safe bet you won't now loose your shirt on one.
