I’m not taking the piss. I am pointing out you’re spouting drivel again. Or do you still claim your “opinions” are “facts”?
Take the bet I offered then , and lets close the bickering, why keep going on and on and on for no reason !The prices are the prices, you are stating black is white, I have said lets take a bet of future Perf prices, you just keep taking the piss.
you only have to answer "yes I'll take your bet" or "no I won't" :-) anything else is just Trolling.

Come again? In the autocar article the pista was over 3 seconds faster than the 3rs. Same day same driver which is the only reasonable way to compare the times.
As I said different driver , RM of EVO did a 11.2 in the same car , same tyres ..... yes Autocar was at same "event " and their driver also jurno amateur was 3.5 secs slower ( they knew that EVO had done the time as in the article all the old excuses we all use came out ) , same car, same track same tyres ( R) . Ok so what's the point of comparing Meaden's time in the RS to Prior in the Pista? The Sport Auto time would have been with the same driver so that's a surprise, not imo the Anglesey times between different drivers especially as Meaden has long been known as a pretty handy driver.[quote=foxsasha][quote=lowndes]
996GT3 comfort spec a lemon? It must be 10 years since I bought FAB from Hunter of this parish and later sold on to Jack Wood also on here. I don’t think any of us thought of it as a lemon.
I’m a newbie to this page. I’ve wanted a 991.2 since Feb 2011, when I placed a LOI. My view, a gen 1 would have minor issues and the wait for a gen 2 would solve that AND allow me time to save…! So I kept dealer loyalty and bought more cars... Then in 2017, I was told (politely) whilst they recognized I was an enthusiast, I hadn’t spent quite enough money. (Didn’t feel like that to me!)
I was given assurances I was on the short list for a 992 GT3, “cest la vie.”
BUT: I can’t see the 992 GT3 looking ‘so’ different to a 991 - factor in a few gen 992.1 teething issues - add 60Kg for crash safety/particulate filter (sound…??) Recent rumours re-turbo or not…? Plus a £10K price hike – the 991.2 might just be a better bet.
So, I’ve been looking at ‘overs’ cars since summer. The spec I need is without a cage. I want to use the car as a daily and to enjoy trips. (I do track a lessor value car – but probably not the GT3.) So cage ruled out – yellow or red brakes? Would prefer yellow – but not a deal breaker. Seats? Um. A tricky one.
I need access to the back so the 918’s make it harder. I love the 918 seats when driving hard, they are the best. But as a daily, and for more relaxed journeys, they can be a touch upright. So the folding buckets? Comfy compromise yes. But – you feel as though you are positioned too high – which I don’t like. So would I take a car with 18 ways??? Um. I’d have to find out. So I did. The 918s remain the best for pressing on. BUT the 18 ways let you sit very low, and they fit people of different sizes better. Yes, they are a compromise, but shouldn’t be poo poo’d just because someone says: “It’s a must have.” (IMHO, axle lift is probably the most important must have.”)
Having worked this out – I really fancied a Touring. (…Priced out !)
So, 5 months on I eventually found a sub 1000ml car in GT silver (16K of spec) - except no PCCB/Cage/Buckets. This allowed me to acquire what is basically a ‘Touring’ with a spoiler. By loosing the 3 ‘must haves’ – it gained me a car, slightly over list, which suits me :-) and which I plan to keep, and use, for some time. I realise this spec won’t suit most – but my point is: For those who want a GT3 to be a daily, or for road biased use – don’t rule a car out if it lacks the supposed ‘must haves.’ In it’s own way my car is also very rare – and now my wife and two children are all sharing the pleasure with me…

just been having a look at the porsche used site, not one manual cs with pccb listed, is that right ? popular car if correct, sure someone will correct me
Certainly looks like it. As has been said (an awful lot!) these cars a very special sensitive and even in this market the top spec do seem to sell quickly. A lot of people want CS/LED’s/Lift/PCCB’s with whichever gearbox they want. Gassing Station | 911/Carrera GT | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
