I find it interesting that certain people keep going on about a cars spec, what you need to remember is a specification of a Porsche is a very personal thing, this is why I personally struggle to buy used Porsche’s, only ever bought one used 911. What someone thinks is a perfect spec may be of no interest to another.
For example I would consider a reasonable spec gt3 road car to have at least the following items, bose, front and rear park sensors, upgraded paint.
Bose would be the last option most would spec on a gen 2 GT3. Crazy price as an extra and impossible to hear any advantages over the standard system with the glorious engine noise. Don't forget the gen 2 has alot less sound insulation than the gen 1 too. Leave the Bose for the Turbo S.For example I would consider a reasonable spec gt3 road car to have at least the following items, bose, front and rear park sensors, upgraded paint.
Parking sensors on a GT3?? If you cannot drive at 1 mph backwards without crashing what chance have you going forwards at even normal speeds?
Upgraded paint? Depends which one.
Bose is relatively inexpensive at 1k and I have always specified bose or Burmester on a new Porsche. I’m sure plenty would appreciate a good sound system from time to time, I take you have done radio delete then?
I need park sensor as I have a number of motor bikes and another car parked in my home garage, again a relatively inexpensive item that is the norm on the most basic of new cars so IMO why wouldn’t you add it. Don’t tell me you let it off to save weight
Again colour is also a personal choice, I would properly never buy a red or black new porsche. Nothing against them these colours just aren’t for me.

Apologies if this has been said before, but looks like the touring pack was the spec. to go for. Does the rear wing really make any difference to the average Joe?
All depends if you want a roll cage and big wing, if not I guess the touring is the one for you.
Just seems the touring pack seems to be rare and commanding more money.
I was ‘lucky’ to get a Touring in the second batch that came through. The first batch was full-fat version only, hence why the Touring numbers are lower. Whether this will make them more valuable in the future is not certain, and will only do so as long as demand exceeds supply. There are some people on here who don’t think the Touring is worthy of the GT3 badge
Edit. When I say some people, I mean one.

Total agree on the touring, they appear to be few and far between and commanding far far more money than a manual Clubsport which has upset some who are in it for the cash.

Hi 2010spy Edit. When I say some people, I mean one.
In my opinion your gt3 touting stunning, I love what you have done with the stripes. I personally think it’s the nicest looking gt3.2 out there.
Congratulations

Thanks, but I think you have me confused with 911 Spy. I’ve not ‘striped mine’ yet. In my opinion your gt3 touting stunning, I love what you have done with the stripes. I personally think it’s the nicest looking gt3.2 out there.

Yeah I bought my .1 when it was 2 years old, paid a small amount over but had no OPC buying history and it was specified just how I would have done it.
Its going to be with me for a while.
Nice one Freddy that’s the way to go,you’ve got exactly what you want, lost very little in real terms! Just think you could have bought a Macca 650 or 720 and lost your shirt Its going to be with me for a while.
Spec is completely subjective, people seem to get too wound up about buying a spec they perceive others to approve of rather than buying a spec they genuinely want .
But just an observation on a couple of points mAde about spec.
You can’t get parking sensors on the gt3 ,nor is the touring the car to have if you want a pdk.
The Bose is useless when travelling at speed ,but comes into its own when you are sat in a traffic jam or dawdling along .

I agree, GT3’s wear decals well as they do the brighter colours. I’d never put deals on say a GTS but have done so on my GT3.
In other new RPM have just posted a PDK CS car on Twitter which I assume will be on their website today. Be interested to see what they list it for as they’re normally sensible with pricing.
