Its a lovely car as a manual but a bit gutless on the road with no torque low down, you can't drive everywhere at 6,000 rpm in 2nd.

Much as I love it, the 991.2 GT3 is for someone who couldn't get a 991.2 GT3 RS let alone a 991.2 GT2 RS.
I’ve read some funny things on Pistonheads over the years but this is right up there lol

So do you think the GT3 is better than the GT3RS.?
It obviously is not, everyone with a GT3 would swop it for a GT3RS if they could have had that build slot.
HC probably can not afford a GT2RS or that level of 450k supercar.

It is a little bit like the wife analogy, I would like to take Rita Ora out to Manchester this weekend, in the Sky Bar then onto the Hilton. But I’m not in the Superstar League. So I will be happy to take my wife to the local three pints and Chicken in a basket, and tell myself “it does not get any better that this”

So you can keep telling yourself you’ve got a GT2RS beater!

Me, if I won the lottery, I would give the wife her share, buy a GT2RS, get into Manchester and find myself a supermodel, that matches my new super car!

??????
Have to disagree with you - I would not swap my 991.2 GT3 manual for a 991.2 RS.

Also, I really hope your wife doesn’t read PH
hehe,

She obviously does not..

Purple Man, get those lotto tickets, buddy and keep those fingers crossed..Life would be soooo sweet bounce

The only version of GT3 that has ever tempted me was the 4.0. But the graphics really don't work for me. As soon as the 2RS was announced and its look I would have bought one in a heart beat. I was not one of the lucky ones.

Anyone know the road from the OP's mentioned video?

Also from the GT3 Manual video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaUCdAdaaj8

My guess would be the old military road from Blairgowrie to Braemar.

You're too kind Richard cloud9

oh I've just relised, you meant Catchpole didn't you ..... ??? redfaceredfaceredface

But I agree, HC is the best of the bunch, a pleasure to listen too, and far more considered than all the other mindless drift/donut merchants.
Really liked every Henry I’ve ever met !! smile

Perfect combo would be the Manual GT3 with the GT2 RS...that would be some garage pair.

It would, for sure - however I think I'd prefer a manual Speedster as a stable mate - love a bit of open top motoring me smile

Agree
Not every one wants a automatic or a big spoiler in your face or mirror.
I thought the gt3 had got it right as in balance of aesthetics

Yes but it would probably wipe £100,000 of the value of the car. Non original stickers smile

Wouldn’t kick either out of bed!

I wonder how many people that are getting a Speedster have also had a GT2 RS allocation....I imagine a lot!

Anyone know how much the newSpeedster is likely to be?
And how many will each dealer get?

Isn’t it supposed to be 1948 total cars ? UK normally gets approx 10% of production so I’d something 3-6 cars for each OPC depending on how they’ve performed.

I have chance to but a low mileage 991 GT2RS for 325k. I'm wondering if I should jump at the opportunity or if they still have further to go now we're coming into winter. I have a manual .2GT3 and PDK .2GT3 and one of those would have to go into the deal which makes decision even harder. any advice very much appreciated

Can’t advise you on what to do - but if it was me I’d chop in the 991.2 PDK and keep the manual - then you’ll still end up with the best of both worlds.

GT market flooded - 992 GT3 / RS coming soon - I’d be in no hurry either way though smile
