Agree. All above either done or in progress.

An important note is that coaching and skills are the best mod by far, followed by reliability and consistency upgrades, in my opinion.
Was going to say, I am a pretty st driver. I mean I can drive and find a racing line, and enjoy myself as long as I don't think I'm holding anyone up, but my (lack of) ability to extract the most out of the car is by far the more significant limiting factor than 3 or 4kg per corner in brake discs. hehe

Sorry if I'm being boring butthe weight is the least of the improvements, what is good is that your braking pressure and distances are the exact same either with them new or very used. This for me is the biggest part about good brakes, the confidence on the brakes, you can start braking later and later as you go always without fear.
P.S. rebuild of ceramics is less than 500 pounds per corner and it lasts a lot longer.

You can refurb the surface transforms rotors by sending them back to the factory. They are good if you have them but a good 2 piece iron rotor with a decent pad will do the job every bit as well imo.

I was under the impression that the comment about refurb costs in the region of £500 per corner pertained to the standard PCCB's....hence why I asked where, as that seems very good in comparison to anything I've found so far.

Unfortunately, as far as I can make out, it's closer to £2k/corner.

And not necessarily regarded by all as realistic.

The ST discs are made in a totally different, more advanced way to the OEM PCCB discs. The latter are laminated and, once the hard surface strata wears or separates, cannot be repaired, as I understand it.

rofl

Yes, I'm currently switched out OEM PCCBs and, on explaining the economics of the situation to a couple of mates, that was precisely their comment.
