What's the feeling on PDCC and Rear Axle Steer? They aren't cheap.

Nice. I keep looking at the green on configurator with satin aurum wheels. Green and gold just work.

I notice a couple of people have specified power steering plus, is it worth it, doesn’t it feel artificial? I didn’t spec it on my previous 991.2 Turbo S and thought the steering was pretty good.

I notice a lightweight carbon roof option. Isn't that a first for a 911?

Oh yes.. really like that!

I think the standard exhaust looks better than the Sports jobbie.

Has anyone worked out roughly how much (like for like) more expensive the 992 is over the 991.2?

First as a cost option on its own I think ...911 R roof was standard as carbon I believe and then availed as part of Weissach pack on RS. Will be a “must have” on GT3 I am sure.

I’ve tried. Looks about £5k. But I think the improved cup holders are worth that....

For my C2S spec, doesn't seem to have changed much, had previously specced a 991.2 to c. £100k with all the bits I wanted (PDK, Chrono, PASM, Bose, Exhaust and a few others). My 992 version is +/- £250. Dont know why, maybe a few options (parking sensors?) are less and counter the rise in base price?

Spoke to my OPC yesterday, they are planning launch events for Jan, with first cars going into build March. Finance detail to follow during Q1. Apparently you get a trip to Silverstone out of it too? (911 Newbie, in fact Porsche Newbie, so new to all this but loving the process so far!).

I'm hoping to get mine on 2nd Sept 2019, dealer says shouldn't be a problem, that day will be the 20th anniversary of picking up my lotus else way back in '99 before getting married two days later. Never forgot my wedding anniversary...... we are still together!

Things that are vexing me at the moment on my spec are:

- Does it get 'normal cruise' as standard? I want cruise (for runs to the alps and back in the dead of the french night) but not £1200 radar guided cruise.....
- Headlights are now LED as standard? Not bothered about all the advance wizardry stuff, just used to LED's on my JCW Mini lighting up the night sky
- Full black leather or Leather / Sportex with crayon stitching. Look like houndstooth (to me anyway) which I love, but will anyone else on resale?

Then colour.....

Heart says Lizard Green, head says Carrera White, Racing Yellow is therefore a compromise with Satin Plat wheels...... Pornstar says Black and Gold, wife says no f**king way!!!!

Either way, I think they have done a great job on the styling of the new model, sure there are many detractors out there, but to me it looks the best since the 993 series. Some real presence IMO, definitely a 911 and very pleased the wider body comes as standard.

EDIT: Just found the standard features button on the website; yes - LED headlights and normal cruise are standard, so I guess thats partially why my 991.2 -> 992 spec has not increased in price! Happy days!

Has anybody tried to order a LHD car in the UK recently - is it still possible (at the UK sterling price)?

Edit: and second question - when will the manual option become available?

I see the car is lower. Anyone thinking they may need the lifter?
Waiting for GTS and a test drive in a CS.
Sterling Plus only makes parking a bit easier. Never specified it.
Need SE but like standard exhaust pipes confused

Although expensive, the front axle lift is an essential for me given a few speed bumps around here.

We are hoping to build a new house down a long farm road in the next 2-3 years. For the same price of the car I could probably tar the road.....

Lift the front and drive slowly. hehe

That is stunning! Does anyone know if you can get the spider wheels in gold?

Aventurine green from the LA show. It looks a lot lighter than the colour on the configurator (even allowing for bright show lighting).

It's been a hard morning trying to come up with something a bit different and sexy.

Looks like the delivery time increases substantially if ordering LHD. Will get more feedback/info on Monday

No word yet on when manual will be available

Looks like the same model at the beginning and end in this AutoExpress Video.

Definitely lighter, but I still like it a lot.
