992 - anyone specing one yet?
Discussion
This spec would be fairly mega - http://www.porsche-code.com/PLAMDBG2 - my actual spec comes out at 105k, but I thought I'd have a go specing all the "money no object" options I like and this is what it came out at lol!
So, I chickened out on the Aventurine Green...., but kept my nerve for the Truffle Brown!
Deposit placed on http://www.porsche-code.com/PLX6ZTZ0. May delivery apparently.

Not really - there seems a lot of uncertainty over factory slots, models (the cab was expected to be announced at the same time) and delivery.I'm happy to wait until May - April weather can have a kick up here.

Did the dealer have the Aventurine Green sample in stock? How did it look in real life compared to the photos of the green at the LA motorshow? the LA motorshow pics look like the green is really washed out to almost Grey....Deposit placed on http://www.porsche-code.com/PLX6ZTZ0. That is quite a modest spec you have gone for....imo, I am really struggling to get my price below £120,000, but I am going 4S. I am really hoping the Ave Green is like the old original colour, otherwise I might have to go PTS Irish green..
I do like the Night Blue and Brown though:-)

Big spec! Very nice work. The only thing I'd question is the privacy glass...don't really like it on 911's but always spec it on the family car. Others may question Burmeister and PCCB's but love your enthusiasm... the configurator is a dangerous place. I worked out what I'd added to the cost of the last four cars I'd specced and wish I hadn't....it's enough to buy a very nice car!Monch said:

I didn't ask to see the Aventurine Green - I had made my mind up before going. In hindsight I should have, but I probably subconsciously didn't want to be torn! That is quite a modest spec you have gone for....imo, I am really struggling to get my price below £120,000, but I am going 4S. My 335D Touring will remain the winter/crap weather/daily driver, so I decided against the 4S and then forced myself to think about what I really needed with the spec of the two wheel drive S.
I think the standard spec is pretty good - initially I ticked the boxes for a lot more, but then deselected a lot of stuff. Adaptive Cruise, Matrix / PDLS Lights / PDCC & Rear Axle Steer / 14 or 18 way seats / Bose or Burmester Audio, all went.
I rationalised that for when I use the car, which will probably be 6-8K miles March - October, I really didn't need the extras.
I may regret it of course if I rack up more miles....

I'm waiting in the wings for the manual 400HP to appear before committing as i want to keep my GT3 as well..In terms of your spec i genuinely think its pretty awesome..The Aventure green with the Crayon stitched interior would be easily my first choice as this colour combo really suits the 992 IMO.Monch said:

Very nice spec.Have you gone for the leather seat backs? I think that to have spent so much on 18 ways and still have the plastic seat backs is poor form from Porsche. I have 18 ways and leather seat backs in mine and I think it really adds a bit of extra quality to the interior.

Just don't want to sell any of them!!
It gets expensive keeping them all, and each one has its own story and purpose :-)
