This too hard for the road talk reminds me of the 996GT3RS. I thought it was fine if factory set. As for the new cars GT3 or RS if i could afford it , it would always be the RS.

Those who have had the ’nod’ and are getting an RS will be at PEC later so this debate could be settled then? smile

It all depends on how far down the WLTP queue the RS is..The instant it passes this test every OPC in the EU will know about it..I wonder how the GPF will affect the RS engine in terms of power and noise..
I think that’s it and you have to believe it’s quite a long way down. There are a lot of more mainstream/vital for the balance sheet cars that need to be processed first.

I’m not a huge fan of the WP to be honest. Doesn’t feel like good value to me and I reckon makes bugger all difference at the margins on track for most of us, also not a fan of the contrast from the bare carbon but each to their own in the end. I’d just buy the magnesium wheels if I wanted to save that weight. Titanium cage is a cool thing though.

Be interesting to see what’s actually in the WP if the cars come. No doubt it will be an option on the 992 as it’s proved popular with many.

I don’t have to get over anything. Is that your killer aregument? Get over it?

I guess the ultimate test of road car pace would be the Nurburgring, so are you suggesting the regular GT3 is quicker round there than the RS, all else being equal?

Please provide a link to “loads of reviews” calling the RS road car capabilities into question. Single biggest issue with these cars on the road would be width I would suggest and the regular GT3 has almost the same issue in that regard.

In the end, I don’t care too much, RS is perfect for me but your endless spamming of a regular red manual 991.2GT3 as the second coming is seriously irritating and you don’t seem to realise that this kind of tedious repetition is why so many on here get so confrontational with you. This was a thread about the second run of RS and you managed (yet again) to get the same yawn-inducing BS in here (for the gazillionth time) about how the regular car is better on the road.
Sounds like you cannot get over it after all which is a shame and nowTrolling me. When I posted quotes from the many reviews, over having a chat about how Porsche made the RS more track bias and it wins at that in all the reviews.

I love RS models and if you don't understand the difference then that’s all good as long as you enjoy what you own. But don’t start trolling me on a bloody forum.

You forgot to mention the wing. A GT3 without the wing is utterly useless - at best

Guys have you seen the video of Tanner Fox collecting his GT3RS WP from Stuttgart? He then drove it around Europe for a week and put 3k kilometers on it . Also just missing the shooting in Strasbourg.

I won't add the link as its a bit brain damage, he is only 18 yrs old and from the usa.

The car is epic though.

I think the gt3 deals remarkably well with the U.K. roads .I have a 335d for dog duties and on the roads near me it is wild ,the gt3 just consumes the same roads with ease, the damping and body control is fantastic.
Better than the gt4 and a couple of regular caymans I have driven as well.

I heard the same from Guildford yeterday - both are part of PRG (Porsche Retail Group) - ie owned by Porsche and without a doubt have the most accurate info.
