Personally, I think the reversing camera is pretty hopeless. The ideal spec jockeys will tell you it’s a must but I don’t find it very useful and would happily do without. Maybe give it a try and see how effective you think it is.
As the wing is higher up and totally blocks the view esp if you have buckets so cannot turn either, I find the camera very handy, esp as you cannot option parking sensors on GT cars.

I also have to reverse off my drive so again as my car turns I can see up the road via the camera where the view is blocked from the drivers seat.
So can safely reverse onto the road without sticking my car 1/2 way on the road 1st.

It's not a must have, just makes life easier if you use the car day to day imo, why NOT spec it, was peanuts to add and like cruise control which again is peanuts, I find it odd it's a rare option esp now the Motorways are all going to be live ave speed roads.

I could easy live without it mind you. It just seemed a no brainer to tick the box.

Rear cameras are for wusses!

Buy now prices will only rise from now on as they always do towards Spring.

As others have said spec is key. Very limited proper spec cars around.

Also anticipated 2020 992 GT3 could be dumbed down with emissions filters and no sports exhaust etc etc judging off the next run GT3 RS IF and its a big IF it ever materialises which imo it won't anyway?!!

I think it quite important ,it's useless if all you do is track it,but if you use the car on the regularly on the road I find it highly valuable, and I am a long way from an ideal spec jockey.

I used to say sensors were for wusses :-) as one can use a window reflection etc etc.

It's as simple as it makes life easier and when parking or reversing onto a road, who don't want that ?

where I live I bet I can park in a smaller gap than some one without one, you can reverse within 1" of a car to get into a tight space.

On a £135k car I just ticked all the box's, seemed daft not to, and while I also did that for ease of sale, I enjoy having it all the toys.

DAB on the other hand was pointless for me, Porsche DAB is crap, I never use DAB, but I speced it due to DAB demand in the 2nd hand market annoying to have to think about resale, but that's GT life for the non VIP.

OP - Take a look at Sheffield OPC - my old Miami Blue is making an appearance and the Spec. is spot-on.

Thanks for the heads up. just been taking a look. seems to tick all the boxes. similar spec to the jzm one, though 6 months older and slightly higher price. Can I ask what the options cost on this, and you think porsche would negotiate much on that price ?

you would be the 4th owner which seems crazy. it's just hit running in miles, you telling me the other 3 did not see 9k!!

missing front LED's but still has great lights. LED was a pricy £1.8k. Missing BOSE (I like Bose), SPP is dire, missing storage compartment lid lol

so close to high spec, just the nagging 3 past owners and the pricy LED and Bose missing.

If you look at all the cars under 150k they are all pretty much clubsport specs suggesting that the traditional gt3 market which was for clubsport etc has changed.
I only watch manuals, and they need to be buckets and PCCB's for best chance or I should say fully speced for best chance.

only 3 left on the OPC site now (vs 15 Auto's) , 2 have been for sale ages , a very over price steel car £35k overs, a comfort car £30k overs, (good luck)
And a track hack spec car with NO options and 2 owners, so £37k overs !!!

every other high spec car sold ages ago, then the ok ish spec cars went, now just over priced odd spec cars which will never sell at the prices listed.

Rare as hens teeth manuals in good spec's now as predicted as that what the "driver" wanted and the flippers are long gone.
Agree the above. Too many original purchasers spec’d PCCBs, CS, Buckets because of supposed must haves to max resale. But a fair few simply didn’t understand the importance of other key options that make a GT3 desirable. Miss off ‘lift’ and the car might negate 10K. Then there’s people like me, who want a road GT3. Finding a ‘high spec’ manual without buckets and cage isn’t easy, there just aren’t many. (Touring too expensive.) Grateful I found one. But everything has its price, when the sellers realise it...

You are not alone I know 2 other gt3 owners personally ,they too like me had gt cars previously with buckets but decided against buckets on the gt3.
The reality for many is buckets are uncomfortable for regular use ,I know many people love them but many don’t and the market is reflecting that.
From looking at what is for sale compared to a few weeks ago ,it’s comfort models that have shifted .
Because the car is far more useable than previous generations the type of demand has changed .

i've seen a few i like, but no camera - is this a biggy ? Personally I'd have it, but finding it hard to find one in the right colour with the spec i want - namely pdk, clubsport, front lift, pccb, buckets.
Seem to be alot withouht pccb - is this a marmite option, or just flippers wanting to save some money ?
They do exist just about every box ticked on this one biggrin

Have a look at the lovely £138K white club-sport one with 1000 miles on the clock being sold in Cardiff. Owner has links to the motor trade, i think he part owns a Merc specialist in South Wales.

Apparently its been bought to sell on and he wants out, looks a great spec. Clearly the OPC have not bid him that well on it otherwise it would be on there forecourts at £145k

I would imagine its around a 130k list car. It could be a great buy for someone happy to buy out of the OPC network at around 135K.

Your memory must be failing??

We have already discussed this car. Steel braked early car on a 17 plate £119k list price.

£20k premium as a private but effectively a 'trade' sale.

£138950 and STRICTLY NO OFFERS AT THIS PRICE.

As I say,Lon een to sell, been up since late nov 2018 so the market speaks for itself.

From my understanding they are keen to sell.

Has all the must have options.

Clubsport pack
Cruise control
Front axle lift
Smoking package (never smoked in)
Bi-xenon with PDLS
Light design package
Dash trim pack in leather
Vehicle key painted with key pouch
Sport bucket seats
Chrono package
Digital radio
Satin black wheels
Silver grey seat belts
Door sill guards in stainless (illuminated)
Pedals in aluminium

Steel brakes over Pcb are preferred by many and don’t get the premium many think that will.

Best value car out there at the moment considering it’s a private sale and offers are being taken in today’s market.

Do what everyone else is doing and make him an offer if the car is suitable.

oh, and anywhwre apart from AutoTrader amd PH I should be looking - is everything listed on those 2 ?
the big dealers and the OPC's

But as I say thin on the ground.

whats wrong with the JZM GT3 that's a big spec PDK car.
As 911R said you need to check the Porsche AUC site...not all the OPC's pay to put their cars on Autotrader or PH. Worth also keeping an eye on the major dealer groups own websites as cars tend to appear on those a day or two before they appear on the OPC site. JCT 600, Sytner, Stratstone, Dick Lovett. I've bought a car in the past having seen it on those dealer group websites before it appeared anywhere else.

Apart from general market conditions I suppose you might see some people trading GT3's in for a GT4 but more likely IF the second batch of RS's comes that will see quite a few cars traded in.

Would I really want to swap my newer high spec CS for that older lower spec steel braked car?

Err no thanks.

Thats a decent price but its gonna be pdk for me. Manual can be a pain in daily traffic. Also, no reverse camera or ceramics.

I take it porsche wont retrofit fit a camera.
