Porsche has another solution to the "problem". Charge more. I hear the Speedster will be 2RS money.
This seems to be the most logical solution. Trouble is as you reside in Australia all cars are inflated due to punitive taxes so a price increase on top is bad news.

That doesn’t surprise me at all, I’d probably charge more if I was them. I bet the people that get an allocation wouldn’t blink if it was £250k.

How about you just buy the GT car you want and enjoy it ?

I bet half the people complaining they couldn't change their GT3 to a GT3 RS cant drive for st anyway! hehe

The 991 GT3 has been out for what? Since 2013? In that 5 years, how many threads have there been on geo settings for track days? Probably none.

I have a feeling 911 R will be along shortly to put you right on that!

Gt3 chasis, gt3rs engine, lots of carbon fibre panels, less than 1000 units and last cabrio na - yes I can see Porsche pushing the price up a bit

1948 examples being built. Still rare but the days of 500/600 ltd edition runs seem to be all but over.

My OPC said they’ve been told a lot less than 1,948 formally by Porsche. I reckon the only people getting a Speedster are those willing to trade something special like a GT2 RS at list, or the very special 918 customers.

Really? Which OPC do you use? I've been told the opposite.

Possibly. I doubt I’d get one as I was only in the second batch for GT3 (which incidentally worked in my favour as I got the Touring which wasn’t available in first batch). Here’s hoping. It’s my perfect Porsche. For me, it’s a combo of my 987 Spyder and GT3 Touring

Agree I’d love one too - time will tell smile
