Brooke. Pretty much brand new, pm me if you want
Thanks.Car is in next Tuesday for a new side muffler, just waiting to see if that's where the exhaust vibration is coming from. Will give you a shout then.
Is there a PM function on here, or is it by email, couldn't see a PM one.

Let us know how you get on..
Did you watch the bypass being fitted? Just wondered whether there was any hammering/tapping involved with the removal of the centre muffler and/or fitting of the bypass. Just a thought that it could be a cat' brick perhaps, as they can "buzz" if they're loose. I'm also led to believe that any difference in flow between the banks can lead to strange harmonics. Do you have a definitive rattle that can be reproduced by gentle tapping or shaking, or does the noise only occur at certain rpm/loads?

I wasn't there when the bypass was fitted although the guy said it went on straight forward, have got the OEM tips on the bypass and if you tap them you do get a vibration, stuffed my slippers up between them and bumper which stops it. It's definitely a temperature vibration coming from the right-hand side of the vehicle, once up to temp, I put a bar between the CAT and bottom of the muffler and press down slightly so it lifts the muffler, it stops. I slackened off the clamp and spun it around a piece, but it still does it.
Tech took a sound file and sent it off to Porsche who came back and said, although it would be unusual for the muffler to be broken, they agreed it was worth changing. So in on Tuesday to get it fitted.
I took a vid myself of the sound below.

I'm considering a JCR centre bypass but I've more of an issue with sound below 4000rpm and wondered if anyone here has fitted the car graphics valve opening system? Also, for an extended warranty would this have to be removed?
Any thoughts on doing a centre bypass would be much appreciated too and have people just left the tips as stock?

Wouldnt bother buying a valve controller, PSE on the GT3 is a con as just works on tick over for more volume. Have had the valves open [tubes disconnected] and its a lot deeper sound but still don't get the volume before 3k revs.Any thoughts on doing a centre bypass would be much appreciated too and have people just left the tips as stock?
As far as warranty goes, if you have a good relationship with your dealer I am sure he will close his eyes as mine did getting one of the side mufflers renewed under warranty with the bypass in place.

I have the JCR centre bypass and its very good, also bought the megaphone tips off one of the guys on here which has put the icing on the cake adding 20 per cent more volume and looks fab as the tips turn blue.As far as warranty goes, if you have a good relationship with your dealer I am sure he will close his eyes as mine did getting one of the side mufflers renewed under warranty with the bypass in place.

it's mega bit of kit the JCR bypass, easy to fit, works with oem tips, ups the volume, keeps 2 level of sound. 11lbs weight saving from the rear.Any thoughts on doing a centre bypass would be much appreciated too and have people just left the tips as stock?
I am thinking going to the next level up now, but still JCR, so could have one for sale if serious. PM me.

These RPM videos with Mr JCR and Tim Harvey are excellent for explaining the ludicrous amount of options JCR offer !

Brilliant, and good insight.£2695 plus VAT, I take it that is for the pair of valved side mufflers. His workmanship is on a par with Akrapovic.https://youtu.be/8RRiM4nc6bY

Incidentally, one side muffler from Porsche is 2.6k.
