Mine has finally made it to the dealers.

Yes that would sit beautifully alongside mine.
Great choice.

I saw an aventurine 992 in the metal today....thought it looked absolutely fantastic. However, the gold wheels (which I would have ordered) get a thumbs down from me the finish looks really cheap/like they’re made from plastic! Nothing like as nice as the gold finish on the 991.2 RS’s (apologies to anyone who has gold wheels and takes offence!)

Hi Cheib. My Aventurine 992 has just arrived at my OPC..I'm glad you like it as i chose it on a whim without really having a clear idea how it'll look in the metal. With regards the Aurum wheels i really like them on a Black 992 but not so keen with other colours.

Don't bother. I've now done 1000 miles in mine and it doesn't need it. I'll be changing mine for a cab in 4 months and I haven't specced RAS on the cab either.
Thanks for the info . BTW are you my long lost twin brother as we seem to have exactly the same ideas on cars and speccing them.;)

Received mine back from my detailer yesterday and absolutely delighted with it. I’ve never had a Porsche before, a couple of Mercedes C63’s and this is truly a class above, epic performance and the quality is super. I went with gentian blue and the crayon interior, for some reason this looks cream in all the photos but in real life it’s kind of light grey. My OPC salesman advised me on the colour and I’m so pleased he convinced me.

Love the colour but not a fan of the black PORSCHE lettering.

It’s a great colour....I think they’ve been a bit hit and miss with the new colours they’ve introduced over the last few years but definitely think it’s a winner....can’t think of anything similar which another manufacturer offers either. Didn’t realise the Aurum finish was the same as the RS wheels....I’m sure it looked more glossy on that 992 than the RS’s I’ve seen it on.

Gemclean... Michael did my c63 4 years ago and then got involved with Reep, but has just now restarted his company in time for my job thankfully... I don’t think he’s launched his website yet but here on FB https://www.facebook.com/gemcleandetailing/

I had Gtechniq ceramic coating and exo4 hydrophobic coating, decided against PPF in the end.

Lovely car, but having gone for full ppf coverage on my 991.2, I’m not sure I could go without it ever again, not having any stone chips after a year and 9000miles of motoring is a whole new experience, and one that is worth every penny imo. Stone chips used to sadden me, it’s also easier to clean with ppf on too, you don’t have to worry about swirl marks and the dirt just slides off, better than a previous car with a ceramic coating.

I've got to lock down the spec of my 992 Cab. Am torn on color.

Choice 1 is gentian blue, blue hood, crayon interior with slate grey dash tops and steering wheel

Choice 2 is aventurine green, brown hood, truffle brown interior.

Both cars would have RS Spyder alloys.

I'd love a green one, but not sure about the hood color? Not sure a black hood would work with a green car that has brown interior?

I have an Aventurine 992S Coupe waiting for me at my OPC..I also have a 992S Cabrio coming in July which was initially Aventurine but i decided a few weeks ago i wanted something different from my Coupe so i switched to Gentian Blue.
When changing the colour to Gentian i also initially changed the hood colour to Blue which i thought would match the Blue body..However my SA had a quick ask around the other OPC's SAs and the general consensus was to go with the Black hood as the Blue hood doesn't look as good in the metal and would be a tougher sell.
I have the Black/Mojave two tone leather interior on my Coupe but changed my Cabrio to the Sport Tex with Crayon stitching..I have stuck with the Carrera Classics on the Cabrio, the same as my Coupe.
I think both the Aventurine and Gentian look equally good however i believe the latter colour will suit the Cabrio slightly better.
A part of me still wants to go with the Blue hood and i might still change before lockdown..I also got the heated steering wheel on the Cabrio but not on the Coupe..

ETA The Aventurine Cabrio with Truffle brown leather and Brown hood sounds incredible actually as long as the two browns don't clash..

Would love to see a pic of the black/Mojave interior if possible please? Is it similar to the old luxor beige?

Thanks

I have an alcantara headliner in mine. Very nice option to have. Door cills also illuminated which again are a nice feature.

You really have to be careful with the box ticking when ordering one of these type

Rear camera......anyone got any ideas on replacement options as one fitted is useless.

Whoever specced the lens wants to go get an eye test!
