£40k for options does sound kind of nuts, but I guess that's the way it is more and more these days.
£40k is a substantial sum for options. Keep in mind that WP, PCCB and Mag wheels come to almost £30k from memory.

I left out PCCBs on my build because I thought it was crazy to push the cost of a 3RS over £200k. I hope I don’t regret it as never had Steels.
For the minimal extra cost of PCCB in grand scheme of things I’d order them if your build not locked. They’re very light as you know and no annoying brake dust which is cumbersome to clean wink
Do you know what the weight savings is? I care far more about the weight savings than the brake dust.
The weight saving on its own not significant. But when you multiply by the force of the wheels turning (think giropscopic effect) its significant difference to handling IMO. Steels historically better for track because £20k replacement cost of PCCBs but Ken at 9e knows where to have PCCBs refurbed nowadays at pretty reasonable cost and handles the whole refurb process. Or spec PCCB and just stick a set of giro disc steels on and box the PCCB

Anyone know if the wheels between the 991.1 GT3 RS and 991.2 GT3 RS identical?

Reason being that my blue .1 has black wheels but would look better with platinum, so on my .2 (which will be racing yellow with WP) I was considering ordering the satin wheels and swapping with my .1.

I've checked the wheel sizes with Porsche and they're identical but we weren't yet sure if the exact shapes are the same given the airflow changes with the .2.

Pretty sure the wheels are identical but the 991.2 has GT3RS embossed into the rim.

No I didn’t spec the watch.

I have PTS, mags, WP, leather everything etc. Also ordering £5k of additional carbon bits.

Good point on the unsparing weight.

My build has locked some time ago.

Does anyone know the rough cost of switching brakes between two cars? I might take the PCCBs from the touring and put them on the 3RS.

BrntR ... have steels on mine , are fine and now I have driven a PCCB .2 RS car on track , I am happy with that as I prefer the feel ....others opinion may differ . Steels more for track use , PCCB nicer for road use .

Not quite identical, the design is subtly different and a couple of hundred grams lighter.

My spec isn't over £185k for my car and I think I've ticked all the right boxes?

Regarding PCCBs - used on road and track - tapered clearance between PCCB caliper and wheel barrel, will inevitably lead to scours - known issue. I accept it as wear and tear, and will refurbish the wheel when necessary. Might fashion a suitable stone guard for the caliper edge to channel away stones. And with the gritty roads we have in the UK, it'll only be a matter of time.

Yes. Live and work in the UK, but can't get one here. Managed to get an allocation for a RHD car in Malaysia and will eventually import it back to the UK with the blessing of Porsche, and transfer of the remaining warranty. In the meantime, I'll just have to have a holiday and fly out there to spank it, which is no bad thing biggrin.

Spec looks great. Just for your information though I’m 99% sure you don’t have to tick the “Fire Extinguisher” option if you have the Weissach package.

The Weissach package includes the “Clubsport Package” passenger side floor mounted fire extinguisher. The separate “Fire Extinguisher” option that you have ticked is the smaller extinguisher that some people have mounted to the front of the passenger seat that you see on some non GT cars.

Check with your dealer and report back but i’m 99.9% sure!

I was told by the Porsche guys at the GFOS that it would not have centre filling cap due to difficulty of filling. Are you still planning to sell the Speedster?

Congratulations to those that have a confirmed allocation. Only curious ; do they have a confirmed build date as well?

No, I was only ever considering letting the 991s go for a CGT, but am excited to enjoy the Speedster.
