I got the call i was waiting for a week ago with good news that i was fortunate enough to secure an RS allocation..To say i was both overjoyed and more than a little relieved is an understatement..I count myself very lucky indeed to be offered an RS especially as i gambled last year on waiting for the WP to be available.
As i've mentioned previously if an RS was coming my way i would go with a stealth understated look due to some unwanted attention from some idiotic boy racers while out driving my RY GT3..Its this very reason why i recently bought Grigio Silverstone 458 rather than a more showy Red.
I went down to my OPC today to spec it.I've gone for a Black WP one, with Platinum Mag wheels and LEDs.Its well specced with Leather,BOSE,Lift,Camera etc and comes to £178,350 which is by far the most i've ever spent on any car..Its my first RS and been a long time coming and really looking forward to its arrival in October/November.

I was very tempted to go the stealth route too but I went the opposite way and specced mine in RY with the Weissach package so if you get bored of being stealth and I get bored of boy racers, we can swap!

Ha Ha..! My current 991.2GT3 is RY so i'm a big fan of both that colour and GR..I wanted a change and as i mentioned previously perhaps i experience more boy racers, as where i live the type of cars i own really stand out like a sore thumb..I even went for a Grigio 458 rather than the default Rosso..I was very tempted to go the stealth route too but I went the opposite way and specced mine in RY with the Weissach package so if you get bored of being stealth and I get bored of boy racers, we can swap!

I grew up and live around Bristol so when I moved away for a couple years I couldn't understand why the roads were so quiet.Around Bristol having a wicked zorst and planted right foot is life!

Still none the wiser regarding whether or not the second batch of RSs will have a GPF as my OPC still have had no update on this issue.
The best of luck to everyone still waiting news on an allocation.

Many thanks..Personally i could only do the Carbon bonnet with Black although it was a toss up with GT silver which would have been a more sensible choice from a practicality POV..As always when i'm torn between colours i let my wallet have the casting vote..Its a Welsh thing..!
Black is a lovely colour with WP. I would go with gold wheels too.Congrats Taffy!

Congrats Taffy....delighted for you. Black will look fantastic ! I think I’d go gold wheels as think they just look superb. Don’t know if you can do it on an RS but I love the black interior with the yellow stitching I have on my GT3.
But agree with Taffy the yellow callipers do not look so good with the gold..

Starting a new thread for Carbon interior and exterior pieces via DB Carbon.
I will check the prices later on the Oem parts for the 2RS. I don't know who's make it was but i have seen some CF vents on a 3RS-WP, and the CF on the wing vents and the rear intakes did not match the CF bonnet and roof, the weave was wider, and a lot lighter. Did not look right.Different emissions regs for US/ROW too EU? Only seen a USD price of 275000 and no EURO price, so could be Euroland has GPF and slightly lower power?
i was of the understanding that any petrol car built /sold after 1/9/18 had to have GPF, manufacturers were allowed a small % of cars built before this date but unsold to still sell so my understanding is that the speedster would have had to been built before 1/9/18 to have no GPF in the EU
I wonder what the regs are if you can buy cars from Asia which is RHD and no GPF and import?
Does look nice though

Well i think that answer's the question in the OP.
Glad you got one of these Miami Vice Speedster things, tarts handbag IMV but at least you won't have to worry about your hair.
Throttle bodies sound interesting, reckon they will roll out a lot more 'halo' models over the next year or so. Interesting times.

I'm getting the Carbon parts for my RS..I asked my SA at my OPC yesterday for a price to supply all the Carbon for the Naca ducts, Fender grilles and side intakes..Total came to approx £4K but as he pointed out they're all solid Carbon unlike Techart which is just a veneer..I don't know what DB Carbon's are..If DB's are just a veneer i'm tempted to get the OEM solid Carbon..

Thanks Apolo1!Much of the CF parts people buy are from China. DB is based in Germany, comes with an amazing warranty and is the highest quality.
I know people that bought items from them and are very happy. They had a one off intro group buy on Rennlist and everyone was very happy with the delivered product.
They have confirmed in writing to me that it is a matching weave. They even raised the point that the interior weave is different it the exterior weave and they match both.
