Imo rws and pccbs are wasted and too expensive ££ on the T at this performance level and price point.
Ceramics as an extra are £6k + same as a GT3 where they are an essential for performance and for residuals. Unlike e.g. the GT4.
Imo PCCBs are fantastic, folding buckets are better than sports seats or Guards Red paint and my wife’s T is not for sale.Ceramics as an extra are £6k + same as a GT3 where they are an essential for performance and for residuals. Unlike e.g. the GT4.
Mine is though.

I'd want manual, PCCB, RWS, sports buckets, T interior pack, rear seat delete and lightweight glass.
Then a trip to Litchfield for their upgrade package. Would be nigh-on perfect at that stage.
Sounds the perfect spec T to me, may be a hard one to find as most weren’t speced like above. Then a trip to Litchfield for their upgrade package. Would be nigh-on perfect at that stage.
Great car in manual and you appear to be able to pick up a bargain at the mo as there are stacks and stacks for sale all at sensible money
Have to disagree about the engine being souless comment. I'm on my 9th 911 and my T has one of the best engines yet. Mine doesn't have PCCB but as yet i'm not missing it. I went for the T interior as I think it completes the package and my back doesn't get on with the buckets so much these days. Mine is miami blue with seem to be a less popular colour but I love it. Hopefully that makes it rare as hens teeth in years to come!
Mine also has sports design front which is basically the black spoiler lip painted the same colour as the car but I feel it 'completes' the look of the front end.
Have to agree with the sum of the parts comment, genuinely the best 911 i've had.

I think the Miami Blue is one of the best colours. Great to hear someone who has had so many 911's rave about the T. Absolutely love mine and plan to keep until I can't get in and out of it! It is funny, when it was launched I could not see the fuss about the T. I had a GTS 991.2 and thought that was great. I sold that car, and regretted it.
I looked more and more at the T as I liked the narrow body, so I bought one with 200 miles on the clock, GT silver. and this is my fourth 911, and I totally agree, it is my favourite.
I don't know why, I really don't. There is just something about it, I like the bucket seats, this is the first time I have had them, and whilst not that easy to get in and out of, they make it an occasion to me.
Just my thoughts.

I dont know what you mean roberto......
although that blue turbo probably needed a bit of fettling, you know, racing in france and all that
There's a reason you were made Principal at Team Mangetout HQ... although that blue turbo probably needed a bit of fettling, you know, racing in france and all that
Have to agree though, T is definitely one of those cars that is better than the sum of its parts.

An excerpt from Drivetribe about Mr 911 himself:
“August Achleitner said he loves the Carrera T to pieces. In an interview he said "It's just pure. The only option I have beside the navigation system is a sunroof. Wonderful.” He also chooses a manual over the PDK gearbox, saying it's more fun and enjoyable.”
A sunroof! Well well. I bought a T recently and after two 997 GTSs I really enjoy it. Seems faster. Is lighter. Looks better.
