We could soon find ourselves with .1 GT3 RS, .2 GT3 and GT4 RS all competing around the same used price point.

I’ve no idea where my money would go, probably GT4.
Can't imagine there will be a GT4 RS.
You don't even need to have that active an imagination when development cars have already made an appearance at the ring......

Is there anything glaringly obvious that’s wrong with the Belfast car for sale?

A Touring will be a keeper for me. I want steel brakes, leather and folding buckets. Not exactly a prize flippers spec so I'm going to have to be patient as most were spec'd with PCCB's.

Also lots are spec'd with comfort seats which is a big surprise! The seats in my GTS are good, very good in fact but for a GT3 I'd want buckets.

We just need to leave the EU without a deal and for the country to go to st. I then stand a chance of getting into a £130 - £140k Touring!.
Bring on the chaos!!!

I know most people will not agree. But if you are looking for a Touring, at least go and check out the 18-way seats (not 4-ways though), - sit lower than folding buckets, less upright than 918s (which I have experience of), - ended up preferring them (maybe not cosmetically), for my use of the car. Allowed me to get into GT3 at less money - but isn’t a lessor car on the road.

I read the first 6 pages of this thread (all useful info) and skipped the end to find only farming and politics?!

Anyways, I’ve just bought my first GT car, a 991.1 GT3 from an OPC, and I haven’t slept all night. Picking up Thursday hopefully!

What made you choose the 991.1 over the 991.2 in the end ?

I suspect £30k - £40k may have been part of the thought process. Are .2’s really worth that’s much more?

A sign of the times. Don't read too much into it.

Congratulations! It's going to be a very long first half of the week for you. Will be well worth the wait. Enjoy!

I look at cost to own, not buy normally. So yes the .2 is then worth a lot more esp if you want a manual, but the poster was reading a 991.2 values thread and also posted he bought a 991.1 in a 991.2 thread, so he must have been looking at 991.2 and they have dropped £20k so great value now imo.

£30k-40k difference plus gen 2 has more to go depreciation wise over the the next year or two? Gen 1 @ £90k likely to slow down a little. Although appreciate we don’t know what will happen to gen 1 values when the engine warranties comes to an end.

Pretty much this. Cost was a big factor. Whilst I do ok, I’ve recently had a wedding / honeymoon to pay for and had to save for a while to find this purchase. I could’ve saved and waited for a 991.2 but I saw a car with my ideal spec and thought sod it, I’m buying it. It’s a silver Clubsport with PCCB, front lift, LEDs, Carbon sports seats, yellow detailing.

I’ve hardly slept since visiting the OPC. A long week ahead....

Very tempting spec indeed - probably exactly what I'd want in a 991.1 (non RS) really.
